A Threat?

"Good evening, Mr Kiel. Thank you for working hard today."

Felix happened to bump into the guy in the hallways of the second floor. The company was about to be emptied now since the other employees were already on their way home.

The guy nodded back. "Same to you, Mr Remus." Kiel moved over and gave way to the man. "Take care on your way home."

Felix stopped for a while. "Kiel," he called out. This time, his voice was sincere. When the other guy looked at him, he smiled. "Thank you for considering my proposal."

Kiel shook his head. "It's the president's decision, not me. I will tell her about your gratitude and besides, we are prioritizing what's good for our employees." he said.

"I see," the former replied. "I will go home now. Good evening again."

When the man finally disappeared, Kiel took a lift going to the lower ground in the parking lot. He was on his way to the car to get Devyn's coat because it's cold outside.
