Wow, what a history my soul has. So, if you read all this again carefully, you can understand that my soul came from an alternate world, where in the year one thousand nine hundred and eight the Tunguska meteorite consisted of a mana crystal and fell not in the middle of nowhere in Siberia, but in Spain. And if you translate the year of my past rebirth into the old version, that would be the year of my birth in this world, one thousand nine hundred and ninety-six. Since I know nothing about my father, this... to put it mildly - asshole left my mother before I was born, so she never talked about him, but since I was black-haired, maybe my daddy was from Italy.

Then Mum remarried and had a sister for me, and my stepfather was basically okay with me, clearly colder than my sister, but she was a little girl, so that was to be expected. I probably wouldn't have even known that my father wasn't my biological father if it wasn't for the colour of my hair, I was dark, my stepfather was blonde and my mother was a redhead like my sister, I stood out a bit, so in ninth grade when we were studying genetics in biology I came to the conclusion that either I was adopted or my father wasn't my biological parent... by asking my mother directly about it I learned the truth.

In summary, my soul from a parallel world was reincarnated as a reflection of myself in this world... considering my name is Leonid and my previous incarnation was Leon, it all seems quite coherent.

This has all been very enlightening, but still, what should I do next?

- Where am I, by the way? And who writes these messages?

≪We are in the Grey Limits, the border between the material world and the River of Souls. While here, the soul still has a weak connection to the body and can be reborn in a previous body. However, we are advised to go for a rebirth as our body is not fit for life and the functionality of the system at the moment is not sufficient to fully restore the viability of the body. The system's messages and visuals are rendered by a built-in pseudo-mind based on the mind of the creator of the Ark of the Soul.

So, theoretically, I could still be saved. Well, that's the theory, but in practice I'll probably be lying in a bunk of electrified vegetables. If I return to my body, my fate will not be particularly rosy, namely an agonising spirit trapped in its own body. So the idea of being reborn in a new body and a new world sounds more appealing. I should use the Compass of Souls, but I don't yet know what it is or how to use it.

≪The Soul Compass is a soul add-on consisting of spiritual artefacts based on soul magic, space magic, shamanism and clairvoyance. It allows you to navigate and move towards a chosen landmark in the River of Souls. Prerequisite for the user is the absence of a material body. To access the function, issue a mental command "Menu", go to "Active Skills" and select "Soul Compass". In the window that appears, enter your search criteria. It is possible to be reborn in the same world, but it is poor in magical energy, which is why the system could not activate immediately after birth, only death by electricity, which passed through the body into the soul and was able to start the system. It is advisable to choose magical worlds for rebirth that are familiar from myths, legends, fairy tales, sagas, or well-known books and stories. They are likely to be close to your world, and information about them has leaked through the infosphere when clairvoyants have described pre-existing worlds under the guise of inspiration. The more parameters you set and the more accurate they are, the more likely you are to find the world you are looking for. Searching takes energy of the mind and astral energy, we have enough energy for one search. If we don't have enough energy, the Soul Compass will choose the nearest magical world inhabited by humans.

OK, so 'Menu'. A window appears with the following labels: "Status", "Active Skills", "Passive Skills", "Settings". I selected the second item and found "Soul Compass", so I activated the skill. In the window that opened, there were four lines: "Enter Information from Memory", "Enter Information Mentally", "Set Exact Coordinates" and "Start Search".

First of all, which worlds do I know well and which ones would I like to visit first? Okay... I've recently discovered the world of anime, and have just finished a couple of extensive works, and I also read all kinds of fantasy in my spare time, and of course I play computer games, so I have quite a few options.

It would be nice to be born in a world with both magic and high technology, but unfortunately most worlds are mutually exclusive, and spaceships usually don't have magic, at most psionics. The main criterion for choosing a flying ship is magic, which allows the pilot to make himself stronger and gain immortality without dying again. So the main criteria for choosing a world will be the presence of magic, the possibility of gaining power quickly and the possibility of gaining immortality, well, preferably so that I can navigate in that world based on my past knowledge.

And after thinking about it, I chose two worlds I was familiar with: Shinobi World and the World of Magical Britain, or to put it simply, Naruto World and Harry Potter World. And after weighing up the pros and cons, I started entering all the data I knew about Naruto World: approximate dates, names, events, I almost remembered the whole series... except for the obvious fillers, nobody likes fillers.

It took me a long time to enter the data, and when I had finished, I clicked on 'Start Search'. It said ≪Scanning in progress. Wait for it to finish. ≫

After waiting at least eight hours, the message changed:

≪Scanning complete. Seven worlds were found that met the criteria to varying degrees, from ninety-eight percent match to eighteen percent match.≫

I selected the first world with a ninety-eight percent match. The message reappeared:

I woke up and felt pretty good, like being in a warm bath, except it was dark and I couldn't move my limbs. While I was awake, I decided to explore the system a little, but I quickly became tired and fell asleep again. An infant's body could not stay awake for long, but I spent all the time I was awake studying the system and adjusting it to suit me. And this is what came out in the end:

Skill Points 40/1 in 7 days (Accumulated amount of energy produced by the superstructure in the third shell of the soul. This energy is a pseudo-ba-hion, created from a mixture of condensed soul energies: prana, reatsu, emotions, psi and mana. It is used to activate inactive system skills and abilities, as well as to increase traits (two skill points are required to increase a trait by one point).

Magic 7 (A magical attribute that affects the power of spells and the amount and volume of magical energy produced. Increases mana).

To see exactly where I was, I used the Recognize ability on my surroundings, which came up as ≪Kushina Uzumaki, 24, human/chakra-user≫. I had my doubts when I noticed that I wasn't the only child, and that there was an infant floating nearby that I also used ID on, and this came up: ≪female child, 0 years old, human/chakra user≫. This seems to be the change caused by my soul appearing in this world. I wonder how the history I know will change? I'll find out soon enough, for there will be a birth and my birth soon.

I feel nauseous these days, eating ramen for breakfast, ramen for lunch and ramen for dinner... although I remember Minato making a radish salad three days ago. It was totally stale. He said, "Eat the salad, it's healthy," and now I have to go to the hospital with poisoning.

The ninja doctors in Konoha are excellent, I think they can help me recover from this nasty radish in no time. Irenin examined me and said:

The pregnancy went well, my belly soon started to grow, and Minato would always lean his ear against it after work, trying to hear our babies.

My beloved and I began to choose names for the children, but so far we've only chosen Mito for the girl, in honour of the wife of the first Hokage - Mito Uzumaki, who was a princess of my clan and a former Jinchuriki, she taught me and passed on her burden, making the new Jinchuriki Nine-tailed Biju.

Minato Sensei Jiraiya came to our house one day and brought his first published book, The Tale of the Unstoppable Ninja, to read. Minato liked the hero of the book and decided to name his son after him - Naruto. I liked the name too and Jiraiya agreed to be the godfather of our children.

As the birth approaches, I'm worried and a little scared, and then Sarutobi Hiruzen and his wife Biwako come and tell me that the birth will be complicated by the fact that I'm a Jinchuriki.

During labour, the restraining seal is loosened and the nine-tailed fox will try to break free. However, they have reassured us that Mito-sama has also given birth, which means they know what to do. The former Hokage and his wife have prepared an isolated room outside the village to be guarded by three ANBU during the birth. Biwako-sama and Taji of the ANBU will deliver the baby, while Minato will help contain the seal. When I felt I was about to give birth, Biwako-sama and I went to the birthplace. Walking through the village, we met Mikoto Uchiha with a newborn Sasuke-kun, who was so cute that I thought he was a girl.

Biwako-sama said that my birth had to be a secret and that we had to go outside the village and get to the designated place as discreetly as possible... so we hurried off and I didn't talk to anyone on the way.

And then the birth began.

God, it hurts so much. How is it that women who go through labour once agree to give birth again? But time passed, filled with my pain and suffering, and my babies Naruto-kun and Mito-chan were born. Throughout the birth, Nine-Tail tried to break the weakened seal and get out, but Minato helped hold him back, probably as tired as I was.

The children were wrapped in blankets and shown to me... how cute they were, especially Mito.

A little later, the children were carried along the wall to the cot at the end of the room, and Minato offered to seal the nine-tailed one at last.

However, a child's cry was heard from behind, and when we turned, we saw Biwako-sama fall, and Taji, who was holding both children, being held hostage by a strange shinobi in a mask and cloak. This masked man pointed his kunai at our children and demanded:

- Fourth Hokage Minato, step away from the Jinchuriki or your children will die before a minute has passed. - Threatened this stranger who had just become my enemy.

And then Kyubey tried to get out again. The shinobi said again:

- Step away from the Jinchuriki or don't you care about the fate of your children? - He started to bring his kunai close to Narutos face.

- Wait, calm down. - Minato spoke to him.

- You'd better listen to your own advice. I am perfectly calm. - The masked man grabbed the bundle with Mito and threw it into the air, trying to pierce it with his kunai, but Minato was able to intercept it, but his enemy had counted on that and attached explosive seals to the bundle. Minato just had time to throw the blanket aside and jump out of the building, and the masked shinobi quickly came up to me and used some kind of spatial transfer technique. Before I could transfer, I noticed that Tadji was shielding Naruto from the explosion.

After transporting me to some kind of lake, the enemy shinobi tied me up and hung me from the rocks.

- What do you want? - I asked.

- I've come to rip the Nine-Tail from your body and use it to destroy Konoha. - the masked man replied simply.

- What?

- Minato's technique uses special markings that allow him to move instantly to the mark... I see he's put one in your seal as well. All in time to protect you, but I managed to get rid of it, and the seal has already been severely weakened by childbirth. Do you have any idea how long I have waited for this moment? - The shinobi asked expectantly.

I froze in horror at the realisation of what he was about to do... but then the red chakra of the fox enveloped me and the nine-tailed one began to emerge from the seal. When the seal broke and Fox was fully out, I collapsed to the ground in pain and weakness. Fox began to growl loudly and the masked shinobi turned towards the village and said:

- Great. We're going to Konoha.

- Stop!" I shouted as I tried to stand up.

- The Uzumaki Clan is really interesting. Even the extraction of the Biju didn't kill you. You were the Jinchuriki of the Nine Tails. - He turned to Fox and ordered him, "Kill your host.

Looking up, I saw Fox swing his huge paw for a strike, but just before the collision, Minato appeared and saved me by going into the tree.

- You're living up to your nickname, but it's too late. - said the masked shinobi.

I, on the other hand, was very concerned about the condition of the children, so I asked Minato:

- Children. Is Mito all right? And Naruto, is he alive?

- Yes, they're both fine. I have hidden them in a safe place. - My lover answered.

Minato walked into our house with me in his arms and lay down next to the children. When he saw me looking at the blood on Naruto, he explained:

- He got a bit banged up in the explosion, so I tended to him as best I could. He's weakened, but he'll be fine. Taji protected Naruto from the explosion, but was killed herself.

I felt so sorry for my little boy... he had just been born and almost died. I cuddled up to the children and hugged them.

At the same time, Minato was getting ready for battle, putting on his equipment and cloak.

Shit, the birth process is not only painful for the mother, but also for the baby. First the squeezing through the small opening, then the temperature change from the warm womb to the seemingly icy outside air. And then the first attempt to breathe this air into my lungs, which caused a stabbing pain in my lungs.

The birth is over and my sister and I are shown to our happy new parents, but the idyll is spoilt by the appearance of Toby. He wounded one of the midwives and took the other, who was holding us and my sister, hostage. Then he starts threatening Minato, demanding that she leave Koushina.

When that didn't work, he grabbed the bundle out of the woman's hand and threw it, then jumped at Minato with a kunai at close range. But Minato caught the bundle in mid-air, and that's when Toby activated the explosive seals he'd attached to the blanket. Minato threw the blanket back and jumped out of the room. Toby, on the other hand, quickly jumped up to Kushina and started to move her and himself out of the room.

And then there was an explosion.

The midwife, who had me in her arms, managed to get away a little, but she was still caught in the blast, but she managed to shield me with herself, so she took most of the damage from the shrapnel and the explosion. The woman was thrown against the wall with me, and now she lay unconscious... or possibly dead. I had also been stunned by the blast, and some shrapnel had pierced my body.

I was now covered in blood, my own and that of the now obviously dead midwife. My vitality index began to drop rapidly as I wasted energy trying to heal my most dangerous injuries, but I didn't have much of that energy, so the result wasn't much.

I was in the middle of a fight when Minato, or rather his clone, came and took me from the dead woman's body and used the Flying Thunder God Technique to move me to the kunai pendant hanging in his house. Inside the house, the original Minato was laying my sister on the bed, and when he saw the clone with the bloody bundle in his hands, he rushed to the clone with a question:

- God, what's wrong with Naruto? Is he alive? - Minato began to examine me.

- Alive but injured. He must go to the Irenin. I administered first aid by stopping the bleeding, but the hospital should not be delayed. - said the clone, laying me down on the bed next to my sister and disappearing.

- Wait here, Mito, Naruto. I have to save your mother before it's too late. - Minato said and disappeared, leaving the two of us on the bed together.

While Minato went off to save his wife, I decided to increase my chances of survival in this world that tried to kill me right after I was born... although it's a sin to complain, since I chose this world for my own rebirth.

So I found in the system expansion the ability ≪ "Minor Healing" - requirement to activate: Intellect 10, Wisdom 10, Magic 5. Activation cost is 5 skill points. The cost of using this ability is 10 mana. (Weak healing spell that can heal minor wounds and injuries. Activating this ability increases passive regeneration.)≫

This is one of the few abilities I can activate at the moment. After a minute, the ability settled in and I was able to use it on myself, feeling an immediate improvement, but it was still a long way from full recovery.

Minato soon returned with Kushina in his arms and placed her next to us. Kushina, hugging her sister and me, began to cry and whisper our names.

After a brief conversation with his wife, Minato disappeared. After no more than ten minutes, Minato returned, saying that he had a plan and needed help. He hesitantly took his sister and Kushina with him and disappeared again.

Due to my condition, Minato apparently decided that I couldn't bear to seal Biju, so he took only my sister. I had hoped to seal Biju in both of us, splitting him in two, but it looks like I won't be a jinchuriki with a chakra reactor in my belly. There are pluses and minuses to this.

Firstly, I won't be watched as closely as the Jinchuriki in the village, secondly I won't be of interest to the Akatsuki who are into collecting Biju, and thirdly, I just missed meeting a translucent horned man in a hoodie with a knife in his teeth, known here as the Shinigami. The Death God was supposed to help seal the Nine Tails into a new Jinchuriki, but considering my not-so-ordinary soul, I'd better stay away from the Shinigami.

After an hour and a half or two, some shinobi in bird masks picked me up and took me to Konoha Hospital.

The hospital was full of wounded from the attack on Fox's village. I was first examined, treated and placed in the children's ward of the hospital, where I stayed for a year and a half until I was sent to the Konoha Orphanage.

While in the hospital and unable to move normally, I tried to feel and manipulate the chakra myself. I quickly felt it through meditation because I can still remember the sensations from my previous life and by comparing them to the sensations in my new body, I clearly noticed the difference and by concentrating well, I felt the chakra. It was a bit dangerous of course, but I still tried to speed up and slow down the flow of the chakra through the chakra channels, which was difficult to do.

I decided, out of nothing, to use my ability to analyse to find out my affinity to the elements and what genomes I had within me. The complete analysis took almost seventeen hours, and I spent about eight thousand psi on it... that is, almost all the mental energy I had accumulated at that time.

As a result of the analysis, I first learned the elemental chakra affinity: the highest affinity to water, then earth and a little bit of wind... oddly enough, there was no lightning, considering the way I died and considering my biological father, nicknamed Yellow Lightning of Konoha... although the fact of my death by electricity affected my soul more, and I was now analysing my new body, well, the elemental affinity was affected by the mother's heritage, not the father's.

The result on the genes was very unclear, but I was able to interpret it approximately. I had a rough idea of what the genes could give me, and I also knew that certain clans with an enhanced genome had similar abilities.

I had recessive Senju genes, Uzumaki genes, as well as parts of the dormant Uchiha and Huga genes. In the time before I was sent to the orphanage, I spent all my time meditating and trying to put the various genes together in the 'Body Modifier', using a lot of psi... the creator of my system did a really good job, introducing a very useful body modification skill that has enormous possibilities, yet can be understood by an ordinary person who only knows magic from fantasy works.

Eventually, something began to happen to me because all these clans were descended from two brothers, Ootsutzuki Hagoromo and Ootsutzuki Hamura, who were the children of a human and an alien from another world, Ootsutzuki Kaguya, who ate the chakra fruit. Each brother had Dojutsu, a special pupil technique that gave their eyes immense power. Hagoromo had Sharingan and Homura had Byakugan, and then they developed their eyes into their more powerful variations, Rinnegan and Tenseigan.

What I got was a dojutsu compiled from all the genes, but since I had incomplete genes, it could be called the basis for a new dojutsu, which requires analysis data from the bearers of other dojutsu to develop. It took sixty skill points and three days to create the dojutsu. And the day I moved to the orphanage, I started to build it.

I was listed in the hospital as just Naruto, the son of an unknown shinobi killed by Fox, and they left a dash in the surname line when I was discharged, but I'll make up my own surname later.

Although, they probably knew exactly who my parents were and didn't use the surname Namikaze on purpose. That would mean that the Fourth Hokage had an heir, and therefore a claimant to the property and money that the ruler of a large Hidden Village must have. As it is, the Fourth died leaving no heirs except his daughter, but she is a jinchuriki - a living weapon of the village and has slightly more rights than the kunai. The money was probably taken under this pretext, some went to rebuild Konoha and some ended up in someone's pocket.

I'm angry with them, but not too angry, because I understand their logic. They say that the newly elected Lord of Konoha, who is supposed to be the strongest protector of the village, and his wife, the Jinchuriki, who is supposed to keep the Kubi, the nine-tailed demon fox, the strongest of the Biju, at bay, have in fact unleashed that very fox upon the village.

Yes, there was an attack by an unknown enemy shinobi, but to people who have lost loved ones and possessions, these are minor facts that can be ignored, just as one can ignore the children of a dead Hokage.

Of course, I understand their reasons, but it doesn't make me or my sister feel any better. However, I was prepared for this scenario from the beginning, so I didn't expect much in the way of an inheritance. I did not expect to make a great fortune with my skills.

The orphanage was a large two-storey building on the outskirts of Konoha, next to a small forest.

I had no problem settling in, as the orphanage had been filled with many orphans since Fox's attack.

The head of the orphanage was a pretty nun with big round glasses, her name was Nono Yakushi. When I was told where to go and what to do, the caretakers left me alone, as I wasn't the only one who needed adult attention here.

Throughout these three days, my genes were being rebuilt and replenished, but the main changes were in my eyes, so in addition to being very hungry, my eyes were very watery and painful. So at meals in the orphanage I was first in line and asked for more, and when the cook saw my teary eyes he took pity on me and gave me a little more food than I should have had, but I could not count on a second portion, as there were already enough hungry mouths in the orphanage.

Well, I am only one and a half years old, and after comparing my characteristics with those of other children, I saw that my physical parameters are comparable to those of three-year-olds, and there is nothing to say about my mental abilities.

Since I needed more chakra, which depends on almost all the traits except magic, I gradually began to exercise: stretching, running, push-ups, squats. Physical exertion is not recommended for normal children, as the growing body of a child is very fragile, but for me the negative effects were all due to regeneration of the system and small healing.

When I worked hard for a long time, I wasted my life, and when I ran out of life energy and felt tired, I used healing, and when I ran out of mana, I sat down to rest and meditate... although I'd rather have a meal instead, but I'm not in a sanatorium, I'm in an orphanage with a pretty limited budget, so I had to sit with a rumbling stomach.

After a bit of meditation, controlling the speed of the chakra flow through the channels, I was busy trying to hold leaves from trees on different parts of my body. It worked best on my hands and forehead. This wasted too much chakra for me at first because I had little control. When the chakra started to run out and life and mana were restored, I started again... and after all that came my favourite moment, dinner. I have to get something to eat somewhere, because with all this training, I'd rather kill myself than become a shinobi.
