Special 3 I don't speak Korean

Ragnar scratched his head with confusion, not knowing what to do in this situation because he was definitely in Korea. The alphabet in the room along with the man who was waiting for him looked at him with surprise.

" I thought lord James would come, but it is lord Ragnar. Welcome to Korea, lord. I am Park Woojin, head of the Korean branch of our company. Currently, you are in the underground facility of our building."

Woojin spoke perfectly in English, pointing at the ID card on his chest. He explained things briefly to him as well as his partner who was an agent of the government.

He saw a young girl with white hair, standing outside of the room while looking through her phone.

Ragnar narrowed his eyes with a frown, finding her identity was a little bizarre. He knew superhumans had the same soul shape as others, but this girl had a different soul shape than humans. It was similar to a fox, specifically a mystical creature like his pets.

" You, what are you?"

Ragnar didn't hesitate to ask, feeling suspicious about her identity. The aura of her soul wasn't in line with good creatures, it was more like a neutral being that had evil tendencies.

" Um, she is a bit special and she has a sensitive past, so I don't think it is a good idea to ask her about her past. I can vouch for her validity."

Woojin faked a cough to lighten the atmosphere. Among the children of Arthur, he thought Kyle and James were the sharpest ones, but he was wrong.

As a god Ragnar possessed the ability to see through the souls and essence of living creatures like his parents.

" 누구? 내 이름은 한아미."

The girl introduced herself in Korean, looking at him with indifference. The tone of her voice was much different than Woojin who had a respectful tone.

" Ragnar Frost. I hope you won't let me down."

Ragnar snorted coldly, feeling complicated inside his heart. He was a kind person to good people, but a mysterious girl like her was a big variable that could get in his way even if she came from NIS.

" I don't trust her, Woojin. I won't pry into her identity but I feel amiss from her aura."

Ragnar decided to follow his gut, wanting to work alone despite being clueless about Korea.

" No, young lord. The government won't allow you to travel without agents due to the last incident in Wakanda. They wreaked havoc in Busan, thus creating conflict between citizens and superhumans."

Woojin resolutely denied his request, prompting him to follow her for several reasons.

" Fine. Just let her stay away from me."

Ragnar decided to comply with his request whilst heading out to find clues about dragons. The bright sunlight hit his face, momentarily stunning him.

He looked around the streets, finding people walking at rapid speed as they completely vanished in a few seconds.

" Seoul is one of the busiest cities in the world. Follow me, I will lead you to a place where you will find people who might know about dragons."

Ami spoke in English which caught him off guard. He widened his eyes for a minute, not knowing what to say.

" You could speak English?"

Ragnar asked her with a bewildered face, losing his temper for the first time. Somehow he was feeling he was getting teased by this girl and he was right. She was indeed teasing him whilst acting like she couldn't speak English.

" Of course, I can speak in English. Every NIS special agent can speak in English and other broadly used languages. I was messing around with you because you seemed to be naive, unlike your parents and siblings."

Ami giggled with a sly look, showing her mischievous side to him which made him silent.

" Ugh! Fine, what about your soul? Are you even a human?"

Ragnar didn't beat a bush around, asking directly with a serious face which Ami's heart flustered.

" Um* I am a spirit creature if you want to know. More precisely nine-tailed foxes. Due to certain reasons, I have joined the NIS and here I am."

She answered truthfully, not wanting to hide her purpose because she could tell Ragnar was on guard with herself.

" I understand. Let's work together, partner."

Ragnar extended his hand, smiling for the first time.
