Chapter 50 Piltovan tradition

" Why are acting like this?"

Arthur asked while tasting the soup with a calm expression despite the murmur between the women. He knew what they were talking and he acted like he didn't know about this.

The women bought this except for Diana who lived with Arthur for a century. She could tell something was off, but she didn't think much because he did nothing wrong. So, she calmly gestured for him to eat while looking at the newspaper with curiosity.

Thanks to Arthur's technology, she could understand what was happening in the city through simple lenses and earpieces in her ears which were able to translate the languages without effort. She was even surprised that she could communicate with them thanks to these items.

" What is with this terrorist?"

She asked, pointing at the picture which showed a painting on the wall. The police duo fell into silence, specifically, Vi was silent about this because she knew who she was talking and she didn't want to say anything.

Caitlyn who saw this immediately changed the subject before things got sour.

" The council will meet you in the high tower to showcase their newest invention or Jayce's invention. They believe that you have a certain value because you were able to get Noxian status without much effort."

Caitlyn explained while Arthur stopped his movements. He understood two things from this statement. First, Piltover wants to negotiate with him since he is a genius and a businessman, secondly, they got his information even though it was classified.

Arthur was confident that Swain wouldn't leak it, so he reached one conclusion. The second faction in Noxus deliberately leaked his information to get his attention.

" The Piltovans know how to please their guests. I believe this time we won't have any problem, right?"

Samira asked, pulling out her car keys from her belt. Vi wanted to bash her face into the food, but she held herself due to Caitlyn's glare. Caitlyn warned her that Samira wasn't a simple woman. As long as they paid her, she would show some good side, so they planned something.

" Only Arthur is allowed to meet them while I will take you to the most expensive shops in the city to entertain you. Though I prefer my job over my entertainment, sometimes it is good to take a leave."

Caitlyn spoke gently, looking at Diana who was the vice leader. Diana also understood her words, and nodded with satisfaction. She wanted to explore this world because it was so much different from her world. Besides, everything was safe in her world thanks to her husband's meticulous preparations for their honeymoon.

A few hours later

Arthur sat before an elderly lady who was elegantly drinking tea before him. She was a noble from the looks of her etiquette and she also had quite authority in the city because she even ordered others to make a room.

" Mr. Arthur. I know you are from far faraway place and I want to make a connection with you. Of course, partnership is also good, but I assume Swain would get in my way. Hence, I want to create a friendship between us before doing that."

Camille said, looking at him with her cold eyes. As a scientist Arthur could tell she augmented almost every part of her body, making him somewhat of a cyber human. Moreover, he also guessed she was a leader of Piltover with bloody hands since he knew Zaun's problems.

" I want to know who sold my information to you, but I assume you wouldn't tell me about them. As for your request, I don't mind having a business relationship with you, but you have to understand that I am a good businessman and person. I don't enter a talk with human lives on it."

Arthur spoke lightly, looking around the luxurious room with various equipment. Honestly, he was interested in their magic science technology, specifically augment and hex tech was enough to attract his attention because he understood their values. If he gets his hand on them, he will surely push Eden's step further, but there was no Saint in leadership. Most people, especially high-ranking people tend to be greedy and selfish. There was no chance that she would give them away for free.
