Chapter 32 Peace for a day

" That is enough. You can stop there before I do something forcefully."

Arthur said, looking at him with indifference despite the glare of his men. Garen and Fiora bit their lips, knowing they couldn't do anything while Shyvana was also restricted by Arthur's power. Gravity is one of the most powerful forces in the universe and as a star-powered human, he could harness every single power in existence which made him nigh-omnipotent, but his mental and physical status kept him in his human realm.

However, that didn't mean he is powerful like Odin or Celestials. He was bound by certain restrictions and morality.

" What have you done to us?"

Jarvan gritted his teeth, believing Arthur was using his magic on him and that was the truth.

" Believe me if I wanted to kill you all, I could have used my power to level this place in one shot. You don't understand how powerful I am and retract your bloodlust."

Arthur gazed at him sharply, motioning his men to stand down. The sheer pressure he was giving out was no joke since he could manifest his aura mixed with his other energies.

" What do you want from me?"

Jarvan asked, believing Arthur had the motivation for this move. His mind was clarified by the fact that he was in imminent danger and his people were in trouble too.

" Peace for a day and I believe you can tell that something is hiding in the conflict. Clearly, he isn't at fault."

Arthur said lightly, directly seeing his mind. There was no guarantee that he could trust his words, but one thing was certain. He was also hesitant about his father's death.

" I will guarantee for him. You have my words."

Shyvana spoke lightly, bowing her proud head before him even though she was a dragon. Diana and Zoe were surprised to see her oath since dragons honor their words seriously even if they were in a grave situation. That was how her words weigh down.

" I, lord of white dragons shall keep your words and honor."

Arthur also decided to show his respect since she was so sincere about herself and Jarvan. He saw the affection in her eyes and understood her words.

Shyvana finally found the answer which she kept guessing. She never thought Arthur would be king of dragons and he would agree to her proposal this easily.

" What about you, Sylas? You aren't actually their leader, right? I see their respect in you, but not loyalty. You have a long way to go and if you desire the freedom, I can give it to you."

Arthur smiled, creating an image of his city in the air. The mages were puzzled by his actions, but they understood one thing. He was giving them a choice to stay here to fight for themselves or leave with him without any bloodshed.

" Can I think for a few days?"

Sylas whose will was shaken by his words, kept weighing the pros and cons. As an individual, he hated his home country, so leaving here would be ideal, but he was a leader at the same time. His words would bear the consequences of his choice and the lives of his men.

" I have a trip to other regions. I hope you will make your choice correctly after our next meeting."

Arthur nodded at him while glancing at Fiora. Fiora seemed to understand his words without any problem because he hid his message for her in his words.

He wanted her to unresolved this matter and find the real culprit. Especially, his eyes were on Lord Eldred who was the highest order of mage-seekers which indicated he had some connections with the king's death.

" Lord Arthur, can I ask a question?"

A woman stepped up from the mages, showing her resolution to speak with the most powerful group. Her courage was something that even most people didn't have, so Arthur appreciated her brave heart.

" And you are?"

Arthur asked politely, believing he would meet her again and that time he would decide whether she was worth his attention or not. If she is the person that could follow his vision, he would open his arms with welcome.
