Chapter - 113 [ Demon King? ]

All the while Adam met with the demon kind, Celeste who explained everything to the girls was waiting for Adam to open a gate so that she can go to him. Though she was happy, he face became pained when she saw the regret filled face of her sisters. Sighing softly, Celeste said,

"Like I said before, this is all for your own good. Although I, or we don't know what kind of being is Addy for him to grow explosively like this, just like you girls are feeling vexed due to his treatment towards you, he himself is broken. As you all already know of his past, I don't think I need to make you guys remember what kind of thing he went in his past life. If he were to lose any one of you, including me, he will most likely break. That's why—"

"You can say that because you are not a burden to him at all! When our beloved person is fighting for our sake, we are here waiting for him like cowards! You have power, Celeste! You won't understand our pain!"

Hearing Amanda's words, Celeste felt a deep sting on her heart. But her face became serious as she said angrily,

"Then get stronger! I don't care what you girls think! This is the hard reality! In fact you all think I'm not a burden to him!? Do you know how much of a difference now we have between us!? Sure, compared to you guys, I'm certainly much closer to him. However, he is growing each moment, even when we are talking among ourselves!"

Hearing her yelling at them for the first time in anger, the girls all began to feel guilty and sob, but Celeste sighed once again as she said,

"I won't say that this is certain. But there is a way, I think it's possible for you girls to become even stronger. I think Adam has found a way. But it might need your will power and hard work. If not, you can't be of help to him, but also will become even more big burden."

Sensing hope within her words, the girls waited for her to continue.

"That's......"

The culprit behind their vexations was running towards the royal castle of the demons with a bubbly girl in his hands. Out of nowhere, she requested him to carry her since she is tired after running for so long. Unable to reject her because of her innocence, Adam carried her in a princess carry as he continued towards the castle.

Though he felt like she wasn't wholly innocent, he could tell that she was being honest with herself when she said she is tired. But not because she was tired of running, but she was sparring with the demon from before it seems.

Though the guards of the castle saw someone running towards the castle, as it wasn't abnormal for their princess to do such thing at this time of the day, they ignored her. Their eyes squinted slightly when they sensed someone else with the princess, but when the duo neared them, they relaxed when they saw the princess smiling happily while clinging to an unknown man.

"Who was that? I haven't seen him before?"

"Who knows. Since the princess is not acting wierd, then that means he is not a threat. He must be someone working under the demon king secretly."

The guards talked amongst themselves.

Adam and the princess reached the throne room of the castle only to see that it is empty.

"I'll go and tell. Please wait for a while~"

Adam nodded and the princess ran off to the door and exited the room to call presumably the demon king.

Right after she left, the four people who tried to stop Adam before entered the room with a eyes like that of a predator. However, unfazed under their eyes, Adam nodded to them since they don't seem to have any enmity against him.

With ever developing tension in the air, the door to the room was opened with the princess and another figure clad in black dress that covered their full body entered with a dignity of a king.

'This is.... I see what's going on..'

Seeing something interesting, Adam thought. But he refrained from mentioning them since that could change the way they see him.

"When I heard a guest has arrived, I never expected it to be a human of all things. I'm not interested in humans. But I want to know what this person want with us, confidently sneaking into my land, even seducing my daughter?"

Though his mind blanked when he heard the word 'seducing', Adam sighed and said,

"I have something important to discuss. As for your claim of me trying to seduce your daughter, I'm afraid they are not true. I'm not bragging, but I already am engaged as well have more than five lovers."

He noticed the princess's aura diminishing like she saw the end of the world, he sensed amusement from the person who he thinks is the demon king or....

"I see! I never thought someone would actually reject my daughter. I apologize for asking you like that. Now then, if you don't mind, care to explain what you want to discuss?"

Adam nodded and took out the stone before asking,

"Do you have a stone similar to this one? I know this may be sudden. But I want that stone. Though I wouldn't talk about things like this with so many people with us, something is about to happen if I can't protect this stone."

Though the demon king wasn't interested in the stone, he raised his hand in a mock tone as he said,

"We demons respect those who are stronger than us. If you can defeat me, I'll give you that stone."

Like he expected, they requested a fight with him. But since things are going according to his expectations, Adam nodded. However surprising everyone other than Adam, even including the demon king, the princess said,

"You won't win, you know? He is several times stronger than you~"

Though he believed in his daughter, no one other than Adam and the princess heard a silent gulp as the demon king asked,

"If you don't mind me asking, can you release your aura? Do not hold back..."

Adam who sensed the demon king's body reacting than what he expected had a frown on his face. However since this would make things easier for him, Adam nodded before fully releasing what he was keeping in himself....

Since he didn't intended it to be deadly, no one was affected negatively, but instead all of them felt as if ten mountains are on their shoulders.

Adam saw that the princess and the demon king is acting the same way. The princess was breathing heavily while staring at him with wet eyes. And the demon king was acting the same. Why? Becuase he found from the first time he saw that he was not a 'he' but a 'she'. That's right. The demon king was acting like a man, in truth 'she' was a demon queen.

Feeling a little awkward, Adam hid his aura once more, giving the people enough relaxation for breathing. While everyone was trying to get rid of the fear they felt, the demon king or the demon queen ordered everyone other than him, the princess and herself to leave the room.

Though they want to say it was dangerous to be alone with someone so strong, they obeyed their king's words nonetheless. As soon as they left, surprising Adam, the demon king or rather the demon queen and the princess jumped at him together. Since he didn't sense any malicious intent but excitement, he didn't do anything. But he evaded their unexpected hug, which made the two ladies pout.

Before he could ask what are they doing, both the queen and princess fell to the ground with shaking bodies. Seeing that it wasn't their act, as he saw their excitement seems to have subsided and a deep pain, not physical but a mental strain was pushing them.

He asked,

"What's wrong?"

The queen, tried standing but her body refused to obey her, due to this problem. However biting her lips, making it bleed, she smiled at him weakly before saying,

"Forgive us, Sir. We have a reason for this... Although it seems you are in an urgency, so I can only request you something."

He nodded his head.

"I... No. We request that you should return here for one day... We need your help..."

"I don't understand what's wrong with you two. But, I'll return here once the problems I'm facing is no more. Though I don't know what I can do, if I can be of help, I don't mind doing it."

Grateful for his words, she smiled.

"I need to know if you have a stone like this..."

He showed her the stone. She didn't seem to familiar with it. So she had a confused face.

"I did ask you, but I have seen it within the bracelet on your arm. Though that may be precious to you, it is very much needed to stop a very dangerous group of people."

She looked at her bracelet and just threw it at him.

"It's not actually anything precious. It's just a treasure I thought is amazing from the treasury. If it's something you need, you can take it."

He nodded with a smile and once again said,

"As I said, I will promise once more. I will return here and help you in whatever it is you need me to do unless it's for something evil."

With that, he opened a gate and disappeared to the next place.

"What an amazing presence.... I can't believe I lost my control with just his aura alone... I can't even imagine how strong he actually is..."

The demon queen muttered as she looked at her now unconscious daughter who fainted due to her intervention. If she hadn't, her daughter would have attacked him.

"I can only hope he will come back here... For her and .... For my sake as well...."

She said as her eyes stared into the sky....
