Lionel Mancini's Mansion
"The first time I saw her, she appeared unreal. I have never seen anyone like her, her small round face, dark silken curls that she twists around her fingers whenever she picks at her food, her life-like smile, and then that innocence in her eyes.
It is so damn irritating just to be near her. What is happening to me? Why am I unable to resist her? She is a stranger who thinks that giving away food to a druggie would put an end to his troubles.
And then, I look at her, lying in bed, defenseless, sick, and so naïve. All I want to do is protect her, take care of her, never leave her .... kiss her. What the f**k is happening to me? Why am I feeling so powerless? I need a distraction," A perturbed Lionel murmured to himself.
"What is the matter, son? What are you mumbling about? Is that girl alright?" Lionel's mother saw him walk in and head for the staircase without noticing her sitting in the hall area by the fireplace.
