The Villainous Side Character Works Hard Today

Elynora had transmigrated into a fluffy regressor fairy tale that she wrote, as a person who always wanted to escape the world, she couldn't be more happy. There was an annoying system that told her weird stuff, but it was still a life much better than the one she lived. As she had transmigrated into a supporting character, she understood her task perfectly. "I must be a stepping stone for the male lead and the female lead to get together!" System: No, you must make this novel into a happy ending cute love story. Hm? But wasn't this already a cute love story? But the world she saw wasn't that of a cute love story, but more like an angst with no happy ending in sight! The male protagonist kept treating the supporting female characters too well! The female lead gets too jealous and gives up. The villain character keeps trying to kidnap the female lead to make her into a weapon. The female supporting characters keep trying to seduce the male lead. ... Ah, the author, who regretted writing the story, wants to leave this world. [P.S: The cover is ai made and is a temporary place holder. I'll draw a better one laters.]

15| Tsundere Demon King

Nora felt another headache incoming as soon as she heard those words from Calor.

"Nora, just because someone took something from you to take a look, doesn't mean you should pounce on them like that. What if your reputation as a lady gets ruined because of that? Thank heavens this happened with Sir Calix today, otherwise your dignity would have taken a hit." Calor lectured her.

She weakly nodded. Calix snorted quietly, looking at her meek attitude.

'Didn't she audaciously grab his chest just a few moments ago?'

He felt annoyed and amused at her innocent acting, but said nothing and just silently observed her.

Nora, on the other hand, felt chills down her spine because of his piercing gaze. She struggled to concentrate on Calor's words, eventually failing to do so and looked straight into the demon king's eyes.

Calor smacked her head at that.

"Don't even look at Sir Calix for the next few days! How traumatized must he be."

Nora felt wronged. It was definitely Calix who made her fall on him on purpose. He even pulled her by the waist so that she sat on him! But she was getting all this scolding just because she accidentally touched his chest a bit?

She wanted to open her mouth to protest, but Calor and Calix had already gotten up and went away in the direction of the inn. Arabella shook her head at Nora in pity and dragged her away as she stood there motionless in anger.

Night had completely fallen by the time they reached the inn on foot. Arabella and Carla shared one room, so Nora was left alone. The inn was very creepy. To avoid hurting innocent people during the fight that was to happen, the group had moved to a more remote area.

The surrounding atmosphere was dark and gloomy, looking perfect for a demon's hideout. There was also slight demonic energy permeating through the air. Nora was doubtful of their plan.

They had come to such an obvious place. Wouldn't the mid-grade demon also suspect that it was a trap?

The inn was quite lively as people kept coming in. The other members of the group had already sat down and started to eat by the time Nora came to dine. Calor sat next to Calix, as if protecting him, while Arabella and Carla sat next to each other and chatted happily, leaving Nora to sit right in between Calor and Arabella at the round table.

Nora sneaked a glance at Calix only to receive a glare from Calor. She quickly looked down at her food and began to eat pitifully.

She looked around. The atmosphere was lively, but also seemed weird. Nora couldn't help but notice how tense Arabella and Calor were. She summoned her flames of purification quietly and directed a tiny portion of it towards a random person.

A scream tore into the air. Everyone looked in the direction of the man who screamed. He smiled sheepishly and excused himself.

Nora suppressed the urge to facepalm. They had fallen into a trap. Her flames only hurt demons. And from her guess, every single one in this room except their group was a demon. No wonder Arabella and Calor were so tense.

She looked at Calix, who gave her a smile. He seemed to have known this from the very beginning. Calor also glanced at her and shook his head, signaling her not to do anything stupid. Arabella worked hard to let Carla not suspect anything.

After their dinner, each went to their own rooms.

Nora opened the door, just to be pulled into a very familiar chest. To be accurate, the one she had grabbed earlier.

"Sir Calix! Why didn't you say anything earlier?" She hissed.

"It's none of my problem. Is it?" He laughed.

Nora stared at him angrily. She knew that he would not kill her, at least for now, so her fears of him were mostly gone.

"What are you doing here?"

"Trying to warn a stupid little lady. Why did you use your flames?"

She had only used a very tiny bit. Wouldn't even harm the demon. Was he angry because she hurt his followers?

"I can see that you're thinking of something idiotic. Don't use your flames in the presence of demons anymore. It's dangerous." He poked her forehead and stepped back from her.

'What does he mean by that?'

Nora shrugged. It was no use asking. If the big boss told her to do so, she would comply. She turned around to see a figure leisurely sitting on her bed. Nora blinked, then turned to leave the room, only to be pulled back by the wrist.

Calix frowned.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"To your room so that you can sleep here, Sir Calix."

"Then what did I come here for?"

Nora stared at him blankly. How the hell would she know? She looked at his annoyed face for a moment, and a thought appeared in her mind.

'Don't tell me...'

"Did you come here to protect me?" She asked dumbly.

The annoyed look on Calix's face intensified. Nora's heart soared in happiness. The demon king came to protect her! Her!

She grabbed his hand to stop him from leaving.

"Thank you so much, Sir Calix. You're no longer a 'sir,' but my boss. Boss, please accept my greetings!" She said loudly.

Calix rubbed his face with his palm and motioned her to shut up with his other hand.

"I came here to warn you. And because your room is the most likely one for the demons to attack. I just wanted to kill some more demons. Don't get the meaning twisted."

'What a tsundere.'

As he finished speaking those words, the air in the room suddenly became cold, rapidly dropping in temperature. The demonic energy became denser as several figures appeared before them. Each more grotesque than the last.

Nora, who had never seen a demon before, wanted to puke at the sight.

'How is it so ugly?'

I really need to write more chapters and stockpile...
