The Battlefield

Anais comes up to the stage confused but unwilling to let this chance go. 'Geez I'm starting to think all female "protagonist" would be better off if they weren't told they need men, I mean think about it.'

Smiling as she gets closer, "Everyone, the beautiful and dazzling Anais and the newest beauty to they capital. Though we may not have had the best meeting I hope to have a wonderful time with her and same to you all." I gesture as she makes to me on the stage and everyone's clapping with mixed emotions. "Anais please do you have something you wish to say right now?" Handing her the floor, as she looks at me with such fake emotions of gratitude. "Well if the queen of society wishes to be friends who am I to say no. I hope that not only are we friends in name but also in business. I know this may not be the best timing or place but I wish for today to not only be the beginning of a new friendship but also a business venture." 'Haha so that's why she hasn't done anything too crazy, the original story had her place emphasis on the male leads because they had power. Now since I am building my own power, she can try and make her way into my circle instead of pushing me out immediately.'

Now everyone with their eyes on us and the next moves to come. Businessman preparing to grab at this opportunity and the gossip girls ready to spread rumors, "Of course I would love to take hands with you in business and in friendship. Let's make a toast to the new beginnings around us." A servant brings glasses to everyone and they raise in a toast to new beginnings. Retha smiles as she now has set all she wanted on the table for today. The party grand continues as Retha simply watches what Anais can pull now, swarmed with business men and gossip girls. The male do as they do and laugh like idiots unable to see their ends. Retha smitten like a kitten as her plan has worked with flying colors.

The rest of the banquet flies til it's time to dance, everyone staring intensely at who I'll pick as my first dance partner. 'Hahah geez think any of you trash man can dance with me, I'll show you something'. The 3 devilish handsome male leads are happily showing off, thinking she has no choice but to pick one of them. She wonders slowly through the crowd looking and searching, then she stops. Smiling, she says, "everyone I am delighted by the present my banquet has chosen, and so I would like to say my first dance partner will be her!" Everyone surprised and stupefied, "Who could she possibly be talking about?" "A girl what is she thinking?" They all look to see a shocked Anais and everyone confused looked back at me.

"This will be a dance only for girls and women whom's has a friend present." Grabbing Anais's hand and the music starting, as the other commoners come to fill the floor dancing to their heart's content. "Well it can't be that bad, right?" "Hmm I would say it seems like a lot of fun!" The noble lady's once reserved, now find themselves on the same dance floor as the commoners, dancing to til the music ends. All the girls look at each other happy and giggling full of rainbows, well all but Anais. Grant it I gave her the friendly death glare the whole time but hey what can you do about it. The Lady's all excited and chatting amongst themselves as Anais tries to sneak over to the guys. "Ok we girls have hogged the floor for too long, the guys must come out for a dance!" And with that the girls gave way to the guys and Anais is caught in the guys group. Sad, "Anais was the girls time on the dance floor with your new friends not enough? Why are you trying to dance with the guys too?"

Everyone staring as Anais remembering the accident with her pants and now, they begin again to gossip. They create rumors from simple words and lay the most insidious web that many can not escape clean once they are stuck. "To think she'd be so openly thirsty." "O my god same even Retha let her go and this is what she gets." "Anais the ungrateful! haha" "To think her beauty is wasted on that personality haha."

"Please guys, I may have made an assumption. We can't miss understand Anais, maybe she just needed to go to the bathroom." Retha points to the door leading to the bathroom. Everyone giggles at Retha attempts to help Anais and the rumors already running amuck.

Anais embarrassed runs out of the room to gather herself. The male leads questioning themselves and Anais come to the front of everyone. "Now everyone please let's remember Anais is new to the Capital and needs to adjust." Allen says while thinking just how cute she is embarrassed. Nodding in agreement Jack and Issac feel as if Anais may not live this down.
