Luna's POV
My sleep was the best I've gotten from the last years. When I woke up, I expected Lorenzo to be sleeping by my side but his side was sadly empty. I'm not saying I wanted him by my side it was just that I thought we would be able to have breakfast together to discuss my plan. Too bad he already went to work according to the maids —they seem to be nice.
While I was checking my phone they had set the dining table with an array of food. Too much for one to eat alone so I offered them to eat with me. They refused at first but were persuaded by my pleading. Eating alone is very depressing you know. As we were eating we talked about my husband. Who more to ask about him than his staff, and according to them he does not usually eat in the dining table. He skips breakfast and does not like seafood. He is allergic to eggs and his favorite food is BBQ. It was fun talking to them because even though Lorenzo is as cold as ice they disregard it because of this genuine care for them when they are in times of despair —which made me happy knowing that Lorenzo was a good employer to his employees.
From their stories to me Lorenzo was a very good guy, which I can only prove myself. But back to my plan I really needed to go back to work. My office is probably already filled to the brim with reports and plans for me to check and read. Being the CEO of Walter Inc. is no laughing matter! I take pride in my work! I may not be on the spotlight, but I am still the heart and mind of this family business and no one will take my throne.

Signing the last proposal, I was able to breathe. Finally I'm done! It was already late and most of my employees have left. Doing overtime is not fun. I could have just brought it home but I didn't, because when I am home I want to be the wife of Lorenzo Khan not the CEO of Walter Inc. —the same thing my dad told be when he was still the CEO, home is for family and not for work. So even though he was busy, he would never forget about his family. My dad is my role model and I will forever be his Sweetpie. My dad's principals are mine as well. If my dad jumped in the vast ocean I would follow through —that was how much I love him.
~Lorenzo's house
The lights were already turned off and the maids were no where to be seen. I tiptoed to the sala before a shadow behind my back tapped my shoulder, making me shriek. ~kyahhhhhhh!
"Shh shhh! Luna it's me!" The shadow said.
"Lorenzo?"
"Yes?" Lorenzo replied.
Oh thank God! I thought it was burglar!
"My God Lorenzo! You scared me!" I slapped his shoulder.
"It's not my fault that you are a shrieker!" he huffed grabbing my hand to stop my slapping.
"Well I'm sorry! I just thought you were a burglar," I retracting my hand from his grip.
"Do I look like a thief?" Lorenzo pointed to his face. Honestly? Yes! He could be a thief, who knows? Looks can be deceiving!
"I said I was sorry, okay? And why are you even still up? It's already late,"
"Then why did you come home this late? I was waiting for you but all I get for waiting is being called a thief," he said walking to the kitchen. "I presume you haven't eaten so I will just heat the food and we can eat together," he added.
"Thanks for all of this," I smiled following him.
"No problem," he smiled back.
"So why did you come home this late Miss sleeping health fanatic?"
"I did overtime,"
"Next time don't do overtime anymore if it will take you this long and don't come home this late alone. There are a lot of bad people roaming the streets,"
"I know, it's just that I just needed to finish my work. That's all,"
"Even so! I was worried sick! I was going to call the police if I haven't fallen asleep,"
He waited for me? But why?
"And by the way, this is for you. You're my wife already so I thought it would be nice for you to have this," Lorenzo pushed a small box to me and when I opened it I saw two gold matching rings with something engraved in it.
"What does it say?"
"Mine says 'Luna's' and yours says Lorenzo's," Lorenzo said taking the rings and putting his on and sliding mine on my left ring finger. "So that everybody knows who you belong to," he added.
"You're so cheesy!" I said laughing.
"But I'm your cheesy!" He joked back making me laugh more.
Looks like this married life wasn't as hard as I thought—but only time can truly tell. I do hope Lorenzo and I would continue to be like this —happy and simple with each other's presence.
