All he did was try to keep giving and ensure that his sister would get a comfortable life. And he would get to rule the Werewolf empire.
There was nothing bad in it, right?
Weren't these many wars that happened through these millennia for the sake of the upper hand? Now, he was doing it without wars. What's wrong with it?
Why could no one understand him?
And his sister calling him. He hoped he could mend their relationship. Also with that, he could take his sister's help to get hold of Werewolfia.
---------------------
Lenora was sitting in her chambers dressed normally not the way the wife of a king dresses. She dressed quite plainly like a normal girl. She wasn't even dressed like a princess. She dressed like a noblewoman.
Celine wanted her to put on the dress from the morning but Lenora refused that. She took pains to get dressed the way she wanted now. Aara and Kylie were confused too. But they said nothing. All they knew was following her commands. And if she did something out of the line, then Aara has to inform the King about that situation about the queen.
"My Lady, the dishes are ready," Celine said.
"What dishes? I didn't ask you to arrange them," Lenora said.
"My Lady," Celine asked feeling confused.
"As I said, put some desserts and wine outside. I am not even considered a wife to my husband and not even a Vampire Princess. So, I couldn't afford to feed a King. And that too the king of Valorine. Now, Take them back, put them in the kitchen or else, eat it and share them with Aara and Kylie. I won't mind," Lenora said in a firm voice.
It was the kind of voice that Celine was unfamiliar with. She felt a shiver run through her spine when she heard it. Looks like Lenora has some plan in her mind.
Aara and Kylie took a step back at her fierceness. They noticed her eyes turning red just like they heard about the stories of Vampire. Looks like the queen doesn't have a good relationship with her brother.
"Now, Aara and Kylie put some desserts in my garden," Lenora said turning her head towards them. Aara and Kylie left to do the things they were ordered to do by Lenora after nodding their heads.
"Celine, I don't want him to enter my chambers. Nobody shall enter my chambers. Everybody shall meet me in the garden itself. Take care of it," Lenora said and walked into the garden.
Celine just sighed. She said nothing and looked at her back. A small smile formed on her face. Things were going in the way they were supposed to.
After all, One couldn't escape destiny's plan. Everything ends at the starting point. And to end, one has to start from the starting point. If this goes on Lenora goes to the starting point. Celine's duty was to take her to the starting point.
Aara and Kylie arranged the dessert platter in the garden as Lenora asked. Seeing them setting the desserts, Lenora sat on the stone bench. She was very tired of these things. Lenora couldn't think that she said she wanted to meet her brother and talk to him.
She couldn't digest this fact. But that came in the spur of the moment. She heard the whole conversation between her brother and Celine. Lenora knew no matter what Celine wouldn't betray her or abandon her. But Zaros would. He once did. She won't be surprised if he did it again. And just because he realized he was wrong, it doesn't make everything right.
And now… again… he was doing it again. He was hurting her all over again along with his wife. Since she already invited him there was no going back again. She will make sure he gets everything in his mind and will make him understand that things wouldn't go the way he wants all the time and every single time.
"Good Night Sister," Lenora heard Zaros's loving voice after years. She didn't feel happy at his normal voice, instead, she felt annoyed.
After messing up the things, why did he put on that irritating smile, acting as if nothing happened?
"Please be seated, King Valorine," Lenora offered a seat making him frown.
Zaros frowned but said nothing. He just smiled at her even if she frowned.
"Please have them," She said pointing towards the desserts.
What's wrong with her? She was acting weird.
She wasn't like this before.
"How are you?" Zaros asked not wanting the silence to continue.
"How could you ask me that, My Lord?" Lenora asked in surprise.
"I mean, don't you know how I am? You put me in the situation which I am in. I thought you are well aware of my situation. My apologies, I should have remembered the fact that you are a king and have many things to do," Lenora said with genuine worry.
"Lenora, say what you want to say. Don't be so sarcastic," Zaros said.
"Even I don't want to. But I have a question. Would you answer me?" Lenora asked.
"Go ahead," he asked with his usual expressionless face.
"Why are you getting close to me? Didn't you accuse me of the murder of our sister? Also, you put me in a situation where I have no choice but to accept the punishment. You even made me unable to get the last chance to prove to myself that I am innocent. Now… you are here with all that guilty face and acting like a goody brother from the past. What's your motive, My Lord?" Lenora asked stressing every word.
She was done playing well and acting like a scholar while spinning the words around the people. She always made people guess the meaning behind her words. People even said that her words contain at least four to five meanings and trying to predict the actual meaning behind her words was as equal to impossibility.
