319. Hardened Buds
Jael stared at Mauve who sat next to him. She was leaning forward on her seat as she brought a bite to her lips. His gaze held, he watched her chew and swallow.
As if sensing his gaze she turned to look at him and Jael smiled at her. She blushed and turned away. He was amused, one would think that by now she would be used to his stares.
"Mauve," he called. He didn't have any reason to call her, he just wanted her to look at him.
She turned immediately, staring up at him with wide eyes. Her brown eyes held a mixture of concern and curiosity.
"Yes," she replied.
His eyes scanned her face and he noticed the fleck of food by the side of her lips. Jael was going to ignore it, it wasn't even that obvious. He could only see it because he was this close to her.
However, there was no way he would pass a situation to see what her reaction would be if he tried to wipe it off. The outcome was too good to pass.
