297. Uncontrollable Thirst
Jael watched Mauve's expression turn sour as he took his hand away. She immediately covered it with a weak smile. He turned away from her and stood to his feet, convincing himself that getting the blood for the month was certainly more important than cuddling her right now.
A knock rang out immediately and Mauve jerked her head to the door. "It should be my bath water." There wasn't any particular reason for an explanation but the silence felt a little too thick.
Mauve nodded but held the position of her head on her knees. He slowly turned away from her to the door and gave the order for them to come in.
The door opened immediately and Mack walked in first, he bowed and then proceeded to place the tub in the corner of the room. He bowed again before leaving.
"Should I leave, perhaps?" Mauve asked at the sound of the door closing.
Jael jerked in her direction, and he frowned. "Why?"
