263. Desolate Land
Mauve tried to hold back her excitement as she walked beside Lady Sabrina out of the dining hall. They quickly made their way upstairs with her leading the way. They got to the top of the stairs in no time and immediately headed for the next set.
"I have never gone up this staircase before," Sabrina suddenly announced.
Mauve turned to look at the vampire, she had to lift her head to look her in the eye. Sabrina was significantly taller than she was. She had a similar build to Lady Jevera.
"Why not?" She asked with a furrowed brow. She quickly turned her attention to the road to avoid tripping.
"Well, I have never had any reason to go past here but that's different now." She smiled at Mauve who glance at her briefly.
Whatever response Mauve wanted to say immediately died on her lips as she got to the top of the stairs. Unlike the hallway below, this one was unlit and there was no way she would make it to the stairs in this darkness.
