153. A Month
"Wake up," Kieran said softly as he shook the physician.
The physician blinked and looked disoriented for a couple of seconds before he recovered. He jumped to his feet and immediately bowed to Kieran.
"I apologize for falling asleep. I-I…"
"I understand," Kieran suddenly said, cutting him off. He looked at Mauve who was asleep, he didn't expect anything less.
"Thank you so much," the physician said rapidly. "Her situation has not changed much," he ranted. "But I am confident that she should be much better by the time she wakes up. I asked someone to prepare more…"
Kieran held out his hand, "Come with me. You will give your report to the King and then you can take a break."
Kieran frowned as he stared the human down. He did look like he was about to fall on his feet. He couldn't afford to have him collapse before the treatment even started.
"No," I am fine. I just needed a little shut-eye. I don't need sleep."
