CHAPTER 45 Pay for What You’ve Done
Cecilia awoke with a start, gasping for air. She rolled out of bed and fell to her knees due to her weak legs. Cecilia struggled to get to the sink and began gulping down water. She sighed in relief before sitting down on the floor.
“Man, it felt like I took two Benadryl,” Cecilia muttered as she began stretching her weak legs. “How long was I asleep?”
“Five and a half days,” Terri said as she entered the bathroom and helped Cecilia up. “And what’s Benadryl?”
“It’s a drug to help with sickness. It makes you fall asleep. And why are you in our room? No one can get in without his permission. Did he ask you to come over?” Cecilia questioned as she tried to stand, but her legs gave out on her.
