Emilio had known Cornell for years. The man knew that Cornell was unlikely to talk nonsense at the end of his life. His feet unconsciously moved quickly to go to the palace garden that Cornell meant, although his heart kept screaming not to believe Cornell's words just like that.
Emilio didn't want to believe that the mother he respected so much had dared to lie to him all this time. Ariana should be on her way to return to the Sigmund Kingdom. His fiancé was fine, not as tormented as Cornell had previously spoken of.
But just this once, Emilio was forced to swallow the bitter truth his mother had been hiding. After Emilio continued to search like a crazy person, he actually found the body of a woman in the place Cornell had mentioned earlier. The bodies found were not random corpses. Even though her face was bloodied and crushed, Emilio could still recognize who the pitiful corpse was.
