Chapter 2 - The Unknown Young Man

"Don't surrender now, now is the best time to suffer and entertain me," The demonic beast chuckled and said to the general, and his smile kept increasing as the four soldiers who were turned into demons rushed toward the general to kill him.

"Entertain you say? Do you think I will suffer to entertain you? I swear, first I will kill these four demons and then I will kill you too," the general replied to the demonic beast and wielded his sword to fight. "Aren't those your comrades, but now you are calling them demons isn't this mean?" said the demon beast to the general.

"They are no longer my comrades," replied the general to the demon beast. "I am sorry guys, I couldn't save you, but don't worry, I will free you from this misery," the general said to his soldiers while fighting with them. And the demonic beast just stayed in one place and watched them fighting like he was watching a television show.

*Spolsosp can you hear me?* a voice murmured inside the head of the general.

"Huh?... What was that? Who is talking to me in my head? The general wondered to himself?"

*Spolsosp can you hear me?* asked the voice, to the general.

"Yes, I can hear you, but how are you doing this?" asked the general to that voice.

*I am using a communication stone. Are you all right?* replied the voice inside the head of the general.

Narrator- A communication stone is a stone with the magical power to contact anyone from far away. Anyone can use a communication stone.

"No, I am not. The four royal guards have turned into demons, and currently, I am engaging in a battle with them." the general replied to that voice.

*What about the high-class demon?* asked the voice to the general.

"That bastard is just sitting in front of me and watching me," replied the general, while clenching his teeth. The anger was visible on the face of the general.

*Spolsosp, I want you to hold your ground there and extend this fight as long as possible* said the voice to the general.

"Why?" asked the general in a curious voice.

*The princess told the king everything that had happened in the forest, and the king is sending reinforcements, so that is why I want you to extend your fight as long as possible. Can you do it?* the voice replied.

"Yes! I will try," said the general.

*Then I am out, and please don't die* the voice stated.

[After 10 minutes]

The general was still fighting with his comrades, and the demon beast was just sitting there and watching them fight to kill each other.

Since he was watching them fight for quite a long time, he saw something strange and muttered to himself, "Why is this general has become defensive all of a sudden?". "I see…" the demon beast proclaimed with an evil laugh on his face, and added: "I see, you are trying to extend this fight, aren't you? Is there any reason for that?".

"What…? H-How did he know that?" the general exclaimed and wondered to himself and the fear of death was clearly showing on his face.

Looking at the expression on the general's face, the demon beast said: "Oh… I see. I think someone contacted you with the help of the communication stone. Am I right?".

"Do you think I would let you live until your reinforcement arrives?" asked the demon beast to the general. The general asked the demonic beast in return: "How can you be so sure that reinforcements are coming?". "Do you think you have time for such a question?" said the demon beast to the general, and continued "I've played a lot with you, now it is time to finish you, and then I will move toward the Amgen Empire to massacre your peoples".

The demon beast slowly began to move towards the general and seeing the demonic beast moving towards him, the general closed his eyes and accepted his fate, and the only regret he has is that he couldn't protect his kingdom, the general closes his eyes to accept his death.

BUT…

Suddenly, a spear passed near the head of the demonic beast. The spear was so fast that the demonic beast couldn't see that and got stunned for a moment and he pondered, "Uh? What was that?". "Who is it? Hurry and come outside don't make me angry or you will die, too," said the demon beast in a loud, raging voice.

"Is the reinforcement here? if yes? why aren't they attacking him altogether? You can't defeat him alone," the general thought after looking at a sudden attack out of nowhere.

After a few moments, the demonic beast got attacked by another spear. To figure out what was happening, the demonic beast backs off for a moment, and while backing off, the spears caught the attention of the demonic beast.

They were no normal spears. The spears were infused with magic and because of that, the demonic beast got chills to the bones, because creating a magic weapon is easy, but infusing magic into any normal weapon. Only a person who is in gold or above class can do it. Only a person who is in gold or above class can do it. "Who the hell is this person? Who is throwing magic-infused weapons like nothing?" the demonic beast muttered to himself while trembling in fear.

"Show yourself if you don't want to die?" yelled the demon beast in rage.

The demon beast just wanted to confirm whether there is a Gold-class warrior or if those magic-infused weapons are fake?.

"Who is this person? And what does he want to do?" the general said to himself in a slow voice.

Suddenly, a voice came from the bushes: "Do you think you can kill me?". The general looked toward where the voice came from and what they saw. Both of them weren't expecting to see that. A kid who was around 17 or 18 years old with brown hair and silver eyes came out of the bushes and proclaimed nonchalantly, "Do you think you can kill me? You little dog".

"Huh… little dog," the general got stunned and pondered with his eyes wide open, and added, "Is he out of his mind calling a high-level demon beast a little dog? Can't he see?".

"What… did you just say?" asked the demon beast to the unknown young man in an angered voice and emitted a murderous aura. That aura was enough to kill a normal, but looking towards that young man standing still, the only thought came inside the mind of the demonic beast and the general was that: "How the hell is he still standing? I can sense no magic power inside. Isn't he is just a normal human?".

"Didn't you hear that? I said little dog," scoffed the unknown young man, and added haughtily, "well who cares? Whether or not you heard that, it doesn't matter. After all, you are my today's dinner."

…

<A complete silence in the forest for a moment>

"Dinner…?… Whaaaaat… is he out of his mind? Angering the demonic beast by saying things like this, I can sense no magic from him, he is done for, I am sorry young man, I won't be able to help you," the general muttered in a shocked and sorrowful voice while looking downward.

"You little piece of sh*t, How dare you? First, you called me a little dog, and now you're saying that you will eat me at your dinner. How dare you disrespect me? Can't you see I am a high-class demon? Show some fear, you little fool." the demon beast said to the young man in a very angered voice.

But the demon beast calmed down after a few moments because he was not sure whether this young man is a Gold-class warrior or not.

"I didn't sense any magic power from him before I am sure he is a normal human" the demon beast pondered to himself. After a few moments, the demon beast said: "since you want to eat me, then summon your armor and try to make me your dinner".

"What is he talking about? Summon your armor. Is he gone crazy or something? Well, whatever, I just want to kill him and get started preparing for the dinner," the young man thought to himself with a calm expression on his face as if the high-class demon beast is nothing more than a normal wolf to him.

And after thinking for some moment, the young man sneered and replied, "What high-class demon beast? As far as I can see, you are just a mixture of wolf and dog,". Hearing him saying those words, the general pondered to himself, "Why is he doing that?".

"A… mixture of wolf and dog, you say? Now you have done it, so do not expect any mercy from me," the demon beast said to the young man, and added: "it is time for you to turn into a demon too," and the demon beast released his deadly attack "Death Breath," and laughed loudly, and he thought to himself: "You little piece of sh#t you wanted to kill me and eat me at the dinner, now I am going to eat you after you turn into a demon".

On the other side, the general was sitting on the ground now, waiting for his turn to die and blaming himself for the death of that young man, as he couldn't help him. And the demon beast was still laughing, thinking that he was going to eat that young man who, according to him, should have turned into a demon.

But suddenly a familiar voice came from the smoke that had covered that young man asking: "What are you laughing about?".

Hearing that familiar voice, the demon beast got a little startled for a moment and muttered to himself: "Is he still alive?… No, it can't be. I didn't sense any magic before in him. He can't protect himself from my high-level attack.".

As the demon beast was thinking that, the same familiar voice came again asking: "Why aren't you laughing now?;" The demon beast started to sweat and his voice began to fumble, and he asked the young man in a loud but feared voice: "Who… t-the hell are you?"

But in return to that question, a spear came from the middle of that smoke towards the head of the demon beast, and the demon beast was barely able to avoid that spear, seeing the power of that spear, the demon beast's feet began shaking.

"...Which class is he in?" both the demon beast and the general asked themselves.

As the both of them were thinking about who this young man might be, another spear came from the middle of the smoke, but this time the spear was so fast, that the demon beast wasn't able to dodge it, and the spear pierced the head of the demon beast like butter.

Seeing the young man killing a high-class demon like nothing the general was so shocked that his eyes and mouth got wide open for a moment.

After that demon died, the smoke covering the young man started to disappear, and now the general can see him, and while looking at him he remarked: "He still hasn't summoned his armor, then how did he win?".

And the young man started walking towards the dead body of that demon beast.

And the general also started walking toward the unknown young man.
