Chapter 5

Within months, Lera had adapted to the lycantropic way of life. In fact she was outstanding when it came to hunting and was indeed one of the prime female hunters. Lera was fierce but was motivated to supply the pack with ample amount to eat only because she didn't want Abraham to attack the nearby villages and kingdoms. She became a ruthless killer and even guided several of the other female hunters into achieving success when they went on hunting expeditions. Sheba didn't like her mainly because she was quite jealous about the feelings Abraham had for Lera. As she looked on at Lera in action, Sheba remembered the many times Abraham fucked her from behind and referred to her as Lera. It was like he was obsessed with wanting to be with her and she knew that as soon as Abraham claimed one if her offspring as his mate she would longer be his number one.

Cain however, spent every waking moment he could spare with Lera when he wasn't with his pack. Abraham noticed this and it annoyed him tremendously but earlier today Sheba had informed him of the matter with Cain's mates. Apparently, lack of sexual activities became a major problem for the rest of Cain's mates that he previously had before Lera. And so Abraham decided to address the situation immediately upon hearing of the complaint.

Cain, what is this I hear about you not servicing  your other mates? Abraham asked among the rest of the pack as they all laid in the cave. He was extremely jealous and wanted Cain to pay for having Lera for himself.

I have relinquished them from my service today so they are free to get new mates father, Cain said with his head bowed

And why have you done such a foolish thing? How many pups will you have now seeing that you've only settled for Lera? Abraham asked as he saw Lera move through the pack and sit obediently next to Cain

 Does it matter father? Cain asked and suddenly he felt the burning slap on his face. But in a blink of an eye, Lera sprang forth and snapped at Abraham's hands and he jerked back. She sprinted forward and attempted to attack Abraham's hand but before it could happen she heard Cain shout out to her.

Lera no! Cain commanded and Lera backed off slowly and obediently returned to Cain's side.

Fiesty one, isn't she Cain? Be careful Lera as Cain can assure you I don't stand for disobedience in my pack, Abraham said and walked back to his seat.

Abraham looked at Lera standing obediently next to Cain and clenched his fist. He wanted his manhood inside of her with her body under his even more than ever now.

Have you told her about our way of life pertaining to reproduction Cain? Seeing that you two have been spending so much time together and is so sexually active she may be with child as we speak! Abraham asked

Cain looked at Lera eyes and bowed his head knowing that on many times he tried to tell her but didn't have the heart to come out and say it to her.

 No father I have not gotten around to mentioning it to her as yet! Cain said sadly

 Well allow me to do the honors Lera! Abraham said

 Lera, within our pack, with regards to bearing my son offspring, you daughters will become other pack mates and hunters but your sons would be killed and thrown into the river. This is until we feel the need to expand the pack but as of right now we cannot facilitate this and that is why I find it ridiculous that Cain only chose to breed with you alone! Abraham said

Lera eyes turn from green into emerald and she snarled at Abraham to show her dislike and disapproval. Cole, one of the other pack members and a long time friend of Abraham, who was standing close to Abraham,  witnessed Lera being disrespectful to him and began to growl excessively at Lera. Unfortunately, Lera did not back down and became unbelievably bitchy by baring her teeth and snarling at him. To Cole this was the ultimate disrespect and he decided to teach Lera a valuable  lesson and pounced on her.

Cain immediately shape shifted and was about to help Lera. But Lera was too quick and strong for him that she began fighting aggressively with him as they scuffled in a combative manner. The fight lasted several minutes and finally Lera ripped Cole's throat out and killed him. Abraham was quite astonished at Lera's savageness, power and agility when he observed her fighting skills but he never thought she would be able to kill Cole.

The pack was shocked and so was Cain.  Cole was twice the size of Lera and had battled  several decades with Abraham and yet Lera was able to kill him within minutes. She was ferocious and some of the pack members feared her while some respected her after seeing Cole's defeat. Abraham sensing what was going on with the rest of the pack quickly spoke out.

 Cain get hold of her or else you know what I can do to her! She is new but let this be the last time she attack and kill anyone from our pack. Cole was my friend and one of my most loyal commanders who I fought with in many battles and Lera should not have killed him! I will not forget this Cain, remember that! Abraham said and stomped away. Some of Cole's mates then  surrounded them and began to growl at Lera to intimidate her but Lera never backed down.

Seeing that the situation was escalating, Cain decided to leave at once with Lera for fear that she would be harmed.

 Lera let's go! Cain shouted and walked with her towards the forest. Majority of the pack members stood scowling at Lera and him as they both walked side by side towards the forest. Lera sensing Cain's anger changed to human form just before they arrived at the trees.

 Why did you kill Cole Lera? Do you know what you have just done in there? Why? You have upset father and the entire pack with murdering Cole! Cain said angrily

 He attacked me, did you not see Cain? Are you fucking blind? Why didn't you tell me about your father's stupid rules in the first place. Why? Better yet why did you ever have to chose me? You should have allowed me to end my life with my father at the castle! You brought this upon yourself so don't think for one minute I am like the rest of those bitches in this pack that would be weak and powerless when it comes to the opposite sex or your father! Lera screamed and stormed off

 Lera you don't understand what you just did. You just killed one of my father's closest hands and now he will become more provoking towards us to ensure that he gets back at you for it. Cain said worriedly as he followed her.

Well let's just leave and start our own pack with better rules Cain. We don't have to stay here and abide by Abraham's rules! Lera said with tears streaming down her face as she turned around to face him.

 We can't leave the pack Lera. My father will hunt us down and kill us both! You are underestimating his power within our pack Lera. Many have tried to oppose him or leave and have failed miserably and was killed. Cain said sadly remembering images of his mother and what happened to her.

And what do you think will happen when they try to take my child from me? Do you think I'll let anyone of those beasts touch our daughter! What if Abraham takes her as his mate Cain? Would you allow that to happen because surely I won't! And what if they kill our son? Do you think I would ever love you again if you allow that to happen? Never Cain! I will never let that happen and will fight till I die! Lera said and sobbed against a tree knowing that she was already with child.

 Lera this have always been our rule and the way of our pack! There are enough mouths to feed right now so we cannot allow our pack to get larger than it already is because that would mean that we would have to attack more villages. We cannot change the rules just because I am Abraham's son Lera!" Cain said softly as he went to her and hugged her from behind

Well when that time reaches Cain, we will see if the rule will change because I am serious what I said about our offspring. Abraham will never touch any of our kids. Don't you see how evil he is Cain? But I gather that he's your father so it's excusable! she said and shape-shifted into a lycanthrope and ran off

 Leraaaa come back! Cain shouted. He was about to chase her but wanted to give her some time to be by herself so he turned around and went back to the liar to assess the situation there with the other lycanthropes within the pack and see if he could de-escalate the matter.

For several hours he waited, but Lera never returned. He walked back into the forest where he had left her and began to howl so that she would know he was waiting for her but she never answered or showed up. It was the first night that they had been apart since he took her from the castle and as his mate and it ached his heart that she wasn't by his side.

Lera heard Cain's call from a distance but she could not return to him. No matter how wrong Abraham was, Cain would always side with his father. And even though she truly loved Cain it wasn't about her anymore seeing that now she had to consider her pups so she continued heading forward towards the home she knew her entire life.
