Moses believed he was hallucinating when he heard a voice echoing in his mind.

"wh-what was that?"

"Did I just hear someone talking?!"

*perhaps, my mind is playing trick on me, Ever since that incident, I feel something about me changed somehow, I don't know what it is but I guess I'll find out sooner or later*

The voice spoke again, repeating the same question. This time, Moses realized he wasn't hallucinating or imagining things. He felt a bit nervous.

[Emperor, are you alright?]

"Wh-who are you?"

[As for the question, Emperor, I am M.E.R.L.I.N, a magical entity designed for resourceful learning and intelligent navigation]

The magical entity began praising Moses, but he felt uncomfortable with the remarks.

A deep, masculine voice came from outside, and it seemed to belong to his father. Rushing through the door, he embraced Moses, his adoptive son, warmly, and Moses reciprocated the gesture just as heartily.

"I am really happy to see you son, I thought I was going to lose you"

They both laughed as his father recounted his journey to the royal capital to procure the medicines needed for Moses' recovery. Feeling guilty, Moses resolved never to hurt his parents emotionally again but his dad encouraged him

"you did what you have to do son, don't be ashamed of it. All villagers were grateful for your help, everyone was worried and praying for your full recovery, now all you have to do is rest"

His father gave him a warm smile and left the room to let Moses rest. Suddenly, a powerful headache struck him, causing him to clutch his head in pain as he slipped back into unconsciousness on his bed.

"Arghhhhh!"

It was in the next morning, he slowly opened his eyes only to find out that he was properly placed on his bed. He felt his body was much lighter than before and he seems to be healed completely. The voice of M.E.R.L.I.N came in at that moment.

Unexpectedly, Moses detected imminent danger in the form of armies of minotaurs carrying hefty weapons like swords and hammers, advancing steadily through the woods. Minotaurs are creatures with the body of man and head of a bull, stronger than armies of average soldiers

Despite the threat, Moses felt a surge of excitement at the prospect of testing his abilities against these creatures.
