(Takes one to know one)

Brittany and I left for the restaurant shortly and we were in the middle of serving our customers when the ring chimed and in came Alden and his group. Though by the time all of them entered it gave me enough time to go behind the counter into the kitchen.

Within a few second Brittany came in reciting the order by one of the customers. "Babe, is there a reason you're hiding with chef?" her question made the aforementioned chef to look at me curiously.

"NO, why would you think I'm hiding?" she gave me a look.

"clearly because your customers are asking where did their waitress go while she was taking their orders"

" oh that, I came here to tell the chef that they don't want any garlic"

"they don't" the chef asked sounding surprising like he hadn't known...well he hadn't but still.

"yes, chef you didn't listen when I said that?"

"but you didn't even say anything" by this time Brittany's eyes narrowed at me.

"Ok, enough. You are going out"

"you know what I'm going to take 5, I'm feeling the heat"

"you're kidding"

"No, I'm not"

"Yes, you are. And you're a fool if you think that you can avoid Alden Richards. If that guy wants, he'll find you from the deadland" her answer didn't make me feel good.

"I'm not avoiding Alden. I just don't want to see him yet"

"Glad to hear you said yet" Alden's voice filtered through the kitchen making me close my eyes.

I do not turn but look for all the exits available but unfortunately there's only one which is currently being guarded by Alden. So, I make my next move which is turn back and stare at him.

"Alden, look at you...you're back" I speak cheerfully and in response he snorts.

"I am" he replies as tightly as he can.

"So, what have you been up to? I hear from Rae that you haven't been back to your dorm. Any specific reason for that?"

"What?...Oh that" I try to sound as casual as I can.

"Yes, that. Where've you been?"

"Here and there" He narrows his eyes at me reply.

"Here and there?"

"Yup. You know... making new friends, talking, walking..."

"Partying" He cuts me abruptly making me halt.

"Partying?" I try to sound confuse.

"Yup, Party. You really didn't think that I didn't see you last night?"

"I don't know what you are talking about. My customers are waiting, so if you'll excuse me" I try to move but an arm shoots out halting my movement and holding me back against a firm chest. His chest, to be specific.

"I'm not quite finished yet and I've already told Ruby that you're done for the day" His answer makes me angry...a whole lot angry.

"What did you say?"

"I think you heard me just right, so now we're going to take a little walk and you're going to tell me all about your adventures along with the reason for why you ignored me last night"

"you don't say" I ask him haughtily.

"I think you're forgetting that you were the one who disappeared out of nowhere and didn't even consider contacting me by any medium. I had no clue if you were alive or not while your friends knew all about you but chose to not speak to me. Oh yes, you know all about ignorance. Don't you?" By now, I'm fuming with anger. How dare he question me. 'Yup, how dare he?'

'Oh, so you decided to come back'.

'I never left'

"Look, Shia" Alden's voice makes me snap out of my thoughts and I lean forward as if to entertain what he has to say to which he leans back as if surprised.

"Yes Alden, I'm looking. Tell me what lie you've got spinning this time"

"Ah yes. What? I've never lied to you" His shouts which only fuels my anger.

"Oh really. Is that what you keep telling yourself? You are nothing but an utter liar"

"Takes one to know one" That's it, I don't care about the consequences. I just jump on him making him stumble back as he collides with the table making the items to go flying all over the floor.
