The Ultimate Lycan System

In this world everyone has a ‘second gender’, That woman has a Ram as her second gender, so her horns protrude from the sides of her head. A prey that would challenge another of her kind. Always hitting heads with another Ram, a form of a sheep and goat almost. Whereas this guy, strong, fit and tall. A man with a sense of dominance and pride, a lion no doubt. Probably cocky at points of time but a sensible and reliable guy to those he surrounds himself with. A fight to the death is what awaits someone to challenge a clear born predator king. Then there’s me, your average human. It’s a rare thing when a person doesn’t get allocated a ‘second gender’ their animal calling, the other part of their soul. But that rare out of one thousand is here standing in the streets, why? Because his bullies told him too and out of fear, I Sion Reed stood in the rain the whole night. *** Sion Reed, a normal, average, not often seen human with no ‘second gender’ is small and meek. He doesn’t talk and puts his head down as he struggles day to day life surrounded by animals of every kind. In a world that prioritised ‘Second gender’ he was seen as nothing to society. His dream of being a hunter crushed at a young age when the doctor shook his head saying ‘the boy simply would not develop one’. His father passed away and his Mother left him because she held disgust for her only child was a mere human. So he worked a part time job to keep a small apartment on the outskirts of town near his high school. Everyday he was bullied and ridiculed for not having his other counterpart, that is until he dies. Or so he thought he did. >> System Operational, welcome Host

Scared?

*Back to present day*

*3 Weeks after*

"You're doing great these past days kid, already able to keep up with my second degree speed punches and it's only been 6 weeks!" Herald laughed as he drank away in celebration to Sion's advancement even though the guy just simply drank and drank, his motto being 'it's 5 o'clock somewhere' and that meant the drinking hour.

"I told you, he's like you in your young days Herald" Trish smiled at the old fool but then looked to where Sion was sitting and her smile faltered. 'Something is eating at that boy' she thought.

'When I was transported to the other world, those monsters seemed to know what to do and seemed to have done it before many times, I thought it was weird that 02 seemed to know of the transformation/reconstruction of my bones but didn't act.' Sion stared at the tv and looked at the screen with no emotion.

"They say this guy has been wanted on multiple charges and was only now taken down? I say there's something else going on with that bull shit" yelled someone at the back of the bar as Herald simply sipped his drink in his wooden mug some more.

Looking down at his hands and ignoring the yelling and criticism. Sion's status was shown before him, the only reason he'd been able to keep up with the old man was because of that hideous day. His whole body had been reformed from scratch! when he hadn't been sitting and remembering the pain, Sion had tested his body in an old abandoned worksite. It seemed that his bones had been made light but strong like the molten lava rocks the environment had.

Thing is that resources such as molten rock from a fracture could never been mined without turning to dust. So the fact that he came out meant that the creatures knew a way for securing it and embedding it. The only thing that stood between their kind and ours was the language barrier and the fact fractures would kill thousands right up to millions if not closed, cause in reality most monsters did not have the ability to speak and would just rampage on blood lust.

'Do I have the ability to talk to monsters that isn't listed as a skill in my status?' Sion could remember that he could hear 02 but it was muffled and reality looked like a messed up scribble. He could barely think straight till the system re-established it's link with him. 'Did that have to do with the fact my old body was destroyed?'

Trish seeing Sion in such thought came over to his side with a drink in hand of a good old fashioned brew of whiskey with a hint of berry. Sion was now 18 after all and it wasn't fair in her opinion that Herald couldn't notice the boy in an inner turmoil.

Slamming Sion on the back, Sion didn't flinch but was rather expecting her, his senses left nothing undetected within yards of where he sat. "Hey handsome, why the long face, a potential partner wouldn't want a frowner" she heartily joked. Sion not wanting to ruin her spirits and obvious attempt to make him feel better took the mug she had placed against his cheek while her smile seemed to light up her face as always. Sitting besides him she took a sip of her own drink and looked at the Tv that showed the killers 'so called back story'. "You wanna tell me what has you so down dear?" Knowing this was her objective Sion sighed.

"Have you ever been scared of death?" Sion questioned in a morbid tone. Trish not expecting that from such a powerful young man sat in silence as Herald yelled at some hooligans to 'shut up'.

"Have you had a run in with death recently?" Recently didn't even begin to cut it in Sion's mind he was very much tormented by the whole ordeal. But Trish seemed to always hit nails on heads if not that then she wouldn't be too far from the truth.

"Something like that" Sion answered not wishing to disclose anything much, he'd not admit it but that was a first in some time he'd been fearful since his transformation.

"You young ones have a way of shutting of emotions as if they were weak to you." She started as Herald grabbed a man by his collar and dragged him out of his bar behind them. "When I met Herald he was a picture of strength and what every young person wanted to be if they could master their other half. Fearless, unmatched, wild, all the things that media would show our mighty hunters to be. But people before knowledge and understanding of the green light purge or those events following after where scared if not terrified. Our history books recall those moments very clearly that they thought 'God had condemned them', but no one had done such thing." Looking down into her mug Trish looked at the dark liquid almost in a trance.

"My Mother was never in the picture of my family but she was better than my Father, she tried many times to take me away but never succeeded so she resorted to kidnapping me one night when my Father was out gambling. I'd never know what she thought that night but I knew she was terrified of what her actions would bring."

Sion sat and listened carefully and almost to his surprise most sound around them seem to vanish as his hearing focused on her.

"She ran with me in panic and sheer fear as if a predator had her on the ropes regardless of where she stood on the food chain. She knew her actions would cause consequences, most people do when they make a decision in life." As if a sad, cold and painful atmosphere set in place between the two, Trish spoke, "So things in life come at a dear price, no matter where we stand something will come up that will cause you to fear. My Mother was scared, not just for herself but for me as well because there are things you choose in life and things that come for you. Whichever it maybe that is haunting you, remember that that was only one portion. If you're still alive now, you haven't lost anything yet."

Sion gripped his mug a bit too hard till it busted open and the rest of his drink splashed over him as tiny pieces of the wood sprayed across the place. Almost in shock Trish placed her hand on her chest and looked at Sion who looked apologetic. "Sorry Trish, I'm not used to my new strength"

"That's quite alright dear, just gave me a fright is all. Just know we are here for you okay?" She said softly and got up to retrieve some cleaning supplies for the mess.
