Cavalry has arrived
Inside the Reincorp building, the surviving Resistance fighters were pressed into a tight spot. The adaptive energy shield Javier had deployed had run out of power. It was the only thing protecting them from energy weapon fire.
With the shield down, the Raiders were quick to press their advantage. A group of Raiders armed with conventional SMGs was moving in from the left while another squad equipped with laser rifles was flanking from the right.
Javier and his men had already used up all their fragmentation grenades and smoke bombs, and were down to their last few laser cells. The only thing standing between them and the Raiders were the titanium shields they had deployed near the garage's front door.
Two of his injured teammates had already bled to death and the third one was in no state to move around. Javier and his second-in-command, Marvin were the only ones still standing on their feet.
