A Kingdom reform

As Ares carried her into the castle, she just kept staring at his face. She could see him unclenching and clenching his jaw which meant he wasn't in a good mood.

She raised up her hand and placed it on his cheek.

"Everything is over now, isn't it? Why do you still look so upset?" Ares paused then turned to her. He gave her a small smile when he noticed how worried she looked.

"Everything is just upsetting. If I hadn't shown up then you…"

"Shhh, you did show up and I knew you would. You always come when I'm in trouble. Besides, It seemed James would have done something if you hadn't shown up" Ares sighed.

"I'm worried about him. He didn't even get the chance to mourn his mother or reflect on what he had done" Reign bit her lower lip.
