After half an hour.

"Ma'am, the helicopter is ready. Gong accompanied team number two, and they are ready to aid," Alexander said, pausing for a moment to hear his boss's order.

"I already contacted team number two, and Gong will tell you what to do." His eyes widened, knowing what she meant. He was about to lose his title as head of security. If not for Cao Feng's absence, there was no need to give him this last chance.

"Next time, Alexander, remember how long you worked for me before repeating the same mistake. If you don't trust your report why do I need you to waste my time. If not for your lack of competency, I wouldn't have wasted my time, aiding the group of dumbheads."

Alexander nodded and left quickly, leaving the boss of dumbheads and her alone.

Long Jie stared at Alexander's retiring figure with narrowed eyes then turning his piercing gaze on Zhenyi.

She cut in before he could speak again. "The chopper is lifting us to the location. The flight is almost fifteen minutes. From there, we have to march, apparently the moron is hiding on the top of the mountain. Though, the Black Rose's men are already aware of your little expedition at the witch house, thanks to your genius brother and they will most likely have men assigned to kill us before even before we reach the mountain foothills ."

Strolling forward, she made sure he understood she was not playing. "First, you see what I'm doing, telling you every detail of this? Yeah, that is what you should have done hours ago. Second, this is my mission now. I'm the operator here . So if you have any difficulty, you can leave now —"

His eyes burned like fire before he grabbed her and threw her against the car. "Every moment you waste proving that you're the boss is the moment you waste our precious time. Now stop bitching and let's finish it before sunrise. Your plan may be smart, but don't forget who's against you. Even if you had followed your reports, the result would have been the same. Both of us know, so stop trying to blame me for it."

She just smirked. Even with her pinned against the car, he was at a loss if he thought, she would give in.

He said nothing, just glared.

He didn't move. And she didn't wait, she broke free. She was small compared to him, so all she needed to do was drop down and roll out of his grip.

Two cars arrived and she was taken back by the sudden entry of Long Wei and Long Yuan. Long Wei dramatically saluted at her and Long Jie while Long Yuan was following silently, his injured arm was dressed up.

Zhenyi turned her eyes towards Long Jie who just winked at her and starting walking towards the helipad.

Who said he had no plan B?

"Are you sure your injured brother can handle it," Zhenyi asked long Wei almost concerned while Long Yuan just snorted without bothering to reply.

The darn woman shot him.

"Don't worry. He's as strong as an ox."

By the time they got to the helicopter parked privately at the airstrip, Gong and Alexander were waiting for them. Long Jie was talking to them about the snipers, that had already reached and were now encircling the region with other choppers in the air.

Saying nothing to him, she walked right onboard to find Long Jie's right-hand-man modifying the G.P.S and loading the arms.

Seconds later, everyone came and took their seats as the doors of the aircraft closed.

"Damon," Zhenyi said as loudly as possible.

Long Jie and his minions all looked around to find the person behind the name, but no one came. A second later, the helicopter's engine kicked on and a soft voice broke out over our headphones. "Nyx star 2006, we are taking. I will have us to the location in fifteen."

. "Damon is our main pilot. you can trust him ."

"That's his name?" Long Yuan asked, "Damon? I feel uncertain already."

Gong sneered. "If he's good enough for the Boss, he's good enough for you dumbhead ."

Alexander gave a light chuckle.

"Dumbhead? What the fuck did you just call me?"

"I'm sorry boss, I used your favorite word without your permission, "Gong looked at her as if asking for an apology.

"You and your boss, both are crazy." Long Yuan glared at Gong, who just shrugged in reply much to Yuan's annoyance.

" Remember your father's word dear brother-in-law, we are planning their mass murder, not ours."

For the next few minutes, no one spoke.

Long Jie stared out of the window and the pitch darkness stared back at him.

He checked the time it was one past five am.

They had the next five hours to accomplish the operation.

Darkness was not the issue rain was.

It wasn't the first time he had done it in such weather conditions. However, It was his first time working with Xins, they operated in a very distinct manner.

And his woman was busy throwing daggers at him.

The mad boss obviously had mad rules.
