Chapter 44

Mrs Davis watched the display of love and words of assurance between her husband and her granddaughter and she could not be happier with what she was seeing.

Even though they were going through some rough patches in the family and the company was on the verge of collapsing, their bond and love as one family did not fade, instead it brought them closer and made them only stronger to face the battle ahead with courage.

She smiled as she watched both of them hug and in that moment, she shed a tear and she quickly cleaned it to join in the family moment, not wanting them to be worried over her tears.

"I can't believe you guys are removing me from the equation right now, look at you both acting all lovey-dovey and I know you have definitely forgotten all about me. Right, Kiara? You've forgotten all about Grandma now that you are with Grandpa or am I wrong?" Mrs Davis asked Kiara with a jealous tone and Kiara could not help but laugh as her grandfather joined in.
