Chapter 12: Need to Do Examination

Ling Fei was awakened by a wave of argumentative voices.

She opened her eyes, but all she saw was a blurry image of two men standing not far away, arguing about something she couldn't quite understand. One of them was wearing a white lab coat.

The other man looked very familiar.

She blinked.

The scene before her gradually became clear.

His lips tightly closed, standing there, the fiercely masculine figure carved out from rigid lines. The man radiating an aura of arrogance, cold and fierce, dismissing everything with a commanding attitude. If it's not the man who was biting and gnawing on her, then who is it?

She tried to sit up.

This was indeed a hospital.

The room was spacious, with air conditioning, a tv, and a refrigerator-all included. The only thing in the room was the hospital bed she was lying on.

Seeing her awake, the two men stopped talking and walked over to her. Ignoring Song Tian Mo, Ling Fei focused her gaze on the man in the white coat.

He appeared to be around thirty years old, he was good-looking with refined facial features and a slim body. A work badge was placed on his lapel with a photo. Below the photo, the name Liu Shao Xuan was inscribed.

"Miss Ling, how are you feeling? I heard you were in a car accident. Is there any discomfort?" Liu Shao Xuan stood in front of her bed, smiling as he asked her.

Song Tian Mo, sitting straightforwardly on the leather sofa, was watching her with an indifferent look.

Ling Fei shook her head.

"I'm fine."

Liu Shao Xuan glanced at Song Tian Mo, raised his eyebrows, then lowered his gaze and asked her again with a smile in his eyes.

"Really, you're fine? A car accident is not like any other accident, Miss Ling, if you're feeling any sort of discomfort at all you must tell me. I have conducted a full body examination on you, but some minor symptoms can't be detected without your cooperation. Right now, you might not feel any discomfort, but in a few days, it might turn into a severe issue, like a concussion, internal bleeding etc… which can be fatal."

Ling Fei's face darkened.

"I'm really fine."

She was feeling very uncomfortable, a mixture of sourness and weakness, but it was not due to the car accident. The car did not hit her; she just fell to the ground and injured her knee a little bit.

Her knee had been treated with medication, apparently, it had already been taken care of.

She had a car accident... She never thought that man would use this excuse to admit her to the hospital. Not wanting to stay in the same room any longer, Ling Fei struggled to get off the bed.

Song Tian Mo was furious.

The room was suddenly filled with an eerie, cold atmosphere.

Liu Shao Xuan cocked an eyebrow.

His eyes flitted between Ling Fei and Song Tian Mo. Just a while ago, Song Tian Mo carried Ling Fei in his arms. As a close friend for over ten years, he had never seen Song Tian Mo so worried about a woman... Something did not add up.

He pointed towards Song Tian Mo.

"It was Mr. Song Tian Mo who brought you here."

"Thank you, Mr. Song."

Ling Fei added casually.

Thanking someone after a car accident?

Liu Shao Xuan silently chuckled.

His eyes swiveled.

"That fellow has plenty of money, since he hit you, it's his fault. You should claim from him – medical expenses, loss of income, mental distress, nutrition fees, nursing charges… don't be shy, just tell him your demands."

Ling Fei stared at him speechlessly.

"No need. It was my fault for not being careful. I can't blame Mr. Song. Besides, I didn't get much hurt. Mr. Song even brought me to the hospital. I got some urgent matters to attend to, I need to go now."

So that man's name was Song Tian Mo.

Ling Fei only wished she had never met that man. Where would she have the time to ask for compensation? She was currently on an IV drip and indicated to Doctor Liu to remove the needle.

There was a knock at the door.

"Dean, Senior Liu is here."
