Chapter 2

Fenrir frowned as he stopped in his tracks. Who the hell was coming?

Why the hell was he feeling a familiar aura from her? What the hell was happening?

It shouldn't be what he was thinking. There was no way it was going to be. Well, even if it was, he was just going to reject or even kill her.

But then he guessed she would be sensible enough not to pester him or else, she wouldn't know how she lost her life.

Soon, a female figure came into view, she had an indescribable temperament and her skin was just like jade.

The features of her face were carefully carved and placed there making her breathtaking.

At the moment, all eyes were on her and most people forgot to breathe because of how beautiful she was.

But even at that, most people didn't dare to look directly into her eyes as they knew who she was.

She was Ellie, the princess of the witch clan and also one of the most powerful in the clan.

"Ellie, what do you think you're doing?" Jake frowned as he said in displeasure when he saw it was Ellie.

"I'm stopping you from bullying a weak soul!" Ellie smiled as she walked in front of Fenrir shielding him from Jake's goons.

She felt kind of attracted to the calm-looking teenager behind her which forced her to interfere.

There was something in her that couldn't bear to see him hurt. Even though part of his face was covered by his hair and only one of his eyes was visible.

She felt the blue eyes had a kind of enchanting feeling which could make her stare at them all day.

"So you mean to stop me?" Jake's voice brought Ellie out of her thoughts.

Ellie smiled and nodded at Jake who was frowning.

"Why do you decide to side with such a weak soul, could it be that you have something for him?" Jake frowned, approaching Ellie slowly.

"What the hell do you think you're saying?" Ellie frowned as she retorted, "The fact that I'm betrothed to you doesn't mean you'll disrespect me and say all kinds of stuff."

"Is that so?" Jake scoffed, staring at Ellie, "You're mine and you'll always be mine, so you'll mind whatever you say or do."

"And who gave you such authority over me?" Ellie scoffed, feeling disgusted with Jake.

The guy was just too pompous, just because she was betrothed to him didn't mean he had the right to do all kinds of things.

"You'll become my wife in the future and the vampire queen, so I'll suggest you mind your manner or else I'll not hesitate to punish you," Jake growled in displeasure feeling irritated with the way Ellie was talking to him all because of a weak soul he could crush with just a thought.

"You know I don't mind igniting your soul!" Ellie smirked.

"Impudent!!" Jake cursed furiously, how dare she?

He didn't know how to retort to Ellie. He knew how powerful she was and he was afraid she might carry out her threat.

But then he couldn't allow her to threaten him, he had to make her realize her place.

As long as he attacked before she chanted her spell, she shouldn't be able to cause him any harm.

"Ellie, you're being disrespectful!" Jake growled blaring out his fangs.

The aura he released made the onlookers shudder in fear. They knew if Jake should attack, they wouldn't know how they died.

"Jake, step back!" Ellie frowned as she stared calmly at Jake who was about to attack her.

There was a hint of panic on her face as she knew there was no way she would win if Jake should attack.

"Seems like I'll have to teach you a lesson on how to behave since you'll be mine in the future!" Jake scoffed, not heeding Ellie's words.

He has to show her that he was not someone one could threaten as they wished.

He was sure that she wouldn't be able to block his attack no matter what.

"Jake, you shouldn't take out your anger on a girl just because she stopped you from bullying the weak!" A peal of hearty laughter came just as Jake was about to attack Ellie.

Immediately, the surrounding pressure disappeared and two figures came into view.

One was a teenager around the age of Jake with jet-black hair, his face was the definition of perfect.

There was a hint of a demonic aura surrounding him and he gave off an invisible pressure.

Beside him was a female whose face looked as calm as the sea. His face was flawless, but then she paled in comparison to Ellie.

"Why do you like poking your nose in my matters, Henry?!" Jake growled as he turned to look at him.

He had already retracted his fangs and claws. He knew with Henry present, there was no way he was going to win in a fight with Ellie.

Henry was not going to allow it and he didn't want to get into a fight with him as the guy was also quite powerful.

"You know it's not good to bully a weak person." Henry smiled, staring at Jake.

"Whatever, but you should stay out of this!" Jake growled, feeling unsatisfied with Henry's reply.

Fenrir on the other hand had watched the scene calmly. There was a hint of disdain on his face as he watched Jake and Ellie argue for his sake.

When he thought it was all over, another guy walked into the scene and then another round of bickering started.

Well, it was none of his business. Since there was no one targeting him again, he was just going to leave.

He could care less about the people arguing.

Thinking like this, Fenrir turned around and walked away from the place not caring what was going to happen next.

"You know Jake, you always flaunt your weight around and bully the weak." Henry shrugged, "But I don't think I'll allow you today."

Ellie glanced at Henry feeling grateful, she didn't know what would have happened if he hadn't come.

"Henry, watch your words!!" Jake growled glaring at him.

"I was just telling the truth, I won't allow you to bully a weak soul right in front of me." Henry shrugged.

"Fine, then let him apologize for bumping into me earlier!" Jake scoffed, turning back to stare at Ellie.

He knew he was never going to win in an argument with Henry so he decided to turn the matter back to Fenrir who was the sole cause of the issue.

Eliie glanced at Henry and saw that he agreed with Jake's words. She knew there was no way she would be able to persuade Jake to give up on demanding an apology.

Thinking like this, she could only turn around to ask Fenrir to apologize to Jake.

Turning around, Ellie froze in shock. The person she was trying so hard to protect had slipped away.

What a joke! He didn't even bother to thank her and just left. Who the hell did she think he was?

At that moment, she felt her anger boil as rage consumed her. Who the hell did he think he was?

She, a princess tried to protect him from bullying and yet he just left without saying a word.

She didn't want to help in the first place, it was just that an unknown force has driven her to do so.

Wasn't he making a joke out of her? How absurd could he be?

Jake on the other hand was as dumbstruck as Ellie. He didn't notice when Fenrir left.

He had been consumed by anger that he forgot to take his presence into account making him able to slip away.

What a disgrace! Was he trying to make a joke out of him?

Well, what he was going to say was that he had the guts. He didn't know how to feel at the moment.

"What's wrong? It looks like the person who you want to force to apologize has slipped away!" Henry's mocking voice came at the moment bringing Jake out of his thoughts.

He had seen the shock on both Ellie's and Jake's faces and thus realized that the person in question must have slipped away.

Well, what he was going to say was that the person was extremely quick-witted to be able to slip away without them noticing.

Also, it could be that he didn't care about what was going to happen or that he was a coward.

"I think you'll have to close the matter here!" Henry smiled and walked towards Jake patting his shoulders.

"Close?" Jake sneered, shoving Henry's arm away from his shoulder.

He was never going to let the boy go. How dare he make a joke out of him.

He was going to make him know the consequences of what he had done. The only thing that could save him was that they shouldn't come across each other.

"If you won't close the matter here, then how are you going to settle it?" Henry continued with a mocking smile not minding Jake's action.

"That's none of your business!!" Jake growled, staring daggers at Henry.

He would have already gotten into a fight with him if not for the fact that he knew he couldn't beat him.

"Don't be so annoyed, anger is not good for the body. Who knows something bad might happen because of your excessive anger!!" Henry laughed.

"Mind your business!!" Jake growled and walked away from the scene with his friends.

"Emily, let's go, we'll be late if we don't head to the hall soon." Henry smiled, turning to the girl beside him while holding her hands.

Ellie on the other hand watched as the two walked away, the anger in her heart had yet to dissipate.

"Damn, it!!" She couldn't help but curse as she left the hallway reluctantly as there was no use staying any longer.
