The visitor 2

After a successful hunting that day Chike made up his mind to share his hunt with Soma because she wished him a successful hunting.

He knocked twice on the door of their hut, and Annaki emerged after wards with smiles on seeing the handsome hunter at her door that afternoon.

" Good day mama", Chike greeted

" Good day my son , how are you?" Annaki enquired from him

". Am fine , mama, am looking for Soma . Is she around?"

"; oh , Soma went out an sometime ago with her friend Nneka, hope all is well?"

" Ah, yes Mama all is. I came to give her some of the meats I hunted since she wished me a successful hunting in the morning, and it was successful indeed" Chike remarked happily.

" Really"!, she asked with her face full of surprise looks and collected it from him and bid him farewell. She returned into her hut and await Soma her daughter.

Soma was on her way home after sending her friend Nneka off, when she bumped into Eze the palm wine tapper who was equally coming her direction but stumbled and bumped into Soma . Catching his balance he held Soma who was also about to fall , holding Eze whilst standing up she winced amidst murmurings,

" Am so, so, sorry for that , I didn't mean to bump into you" he said sounding apologetic .

" you didn't mean to? " she asked sarcastically not minding that her voice was a bit raised.

Scratching his un-itchy head trying to find what he would say , he opened his mouth twice but nothing came out.

" , yes? " she asked again making it obvious that she's getting angry

" Am so sorry, he grinned further, " your beauty distracted me and I stumbled and bumped into you " , he put it simply shrugging his shoulders ,. Soma's jaw hung open in disbelief, still not believing her eyes, she shook her head to dissipate her anger .

Catching her furious gaze , Eze knew she wasn't happy with his lazy pranks, " Let me help you home , I know your hut is not quite far from here ", still saying he held her hand trying to help her walk after noticing she bruised her leg a little and blood was obviously coming out from the wound and trekked down her ankle.

Arriving at Soma's compound , Annaki was sitting outside stitching her clothes , When Soma and Eze walked in with her leaning on Eze's shoulder and limping a little , sighting her mother Soma nudged Eze to let her go.

" You can go now, " she pushed him a little and left his embrace, and started walking to her mother.

Seeing her daughter limping a little she gave her a suspicious gaze wondering what's wrong with her.

" Who was that ", she said playfully using her head to indicate who she was referring to

" Mama!! you didn't even ask me what's wrong with me " She exclaimed half-heartedly and pouted her mouth in displeasure.

" you had a visitor earlier" Annaki said still not paying heed to her daughter's complaints .
