BRIA
The rest of the day passed in a blur, and before we knew it, we sat around the bonfire. We had shawls wrapped around our bodies to save us from the cold air of the forest. Joshua played the guitar and Sam sang 'Lay by me' by Ruben.
I never thought Sam had such a soothing voice, yet it had that pain that was the core of the song. I was so mesmerised and overwhelmed by the past memories, memories of the devil and the time we had spent in Italy that I found my eyes stinging with unshed tears.
My eyes closed on their own as I swayed gently with the rhythm, soaking the lyrics that suited my story perfectly. And the image that crossed my mind was only one.
The tall man with chestnut brown hair and the world's most beautiful eyes- electric blue and emerald green. His chiselled jaw always made me wonder if the god had used his free time working on it while humming his favourite tune.
