Apology ends it

Su Qianfan's POV

I woke up to a knock on the door, I looked at the clock beside me and jumped out of bed. When I opened the door, it was a maid.

"Good morning"

"Good morning, it's too late for you to be asleep. All workers here wakes up by 7am and sleep by 10pm, keep that in mind. Now, get to work"

"Excuse me but....... "

"You have no option, just get to work already"

I followed her and she showed me a portion that I was going to clean. I was cleaning the last phrase when I saw Ai, she looks more beautiful from last night. I wanted to talk to her but she laughed seeing me cleaning.

"Exactly where a liar like you belongs." she snapped and went to the living room.

I finished the cleaning and went to meet her to apologize to her.

"What is it this time?"

"I'm sorry about last night. I don't know what came over me"

"Really? I know what came over you, it was Mei. She's the one you love now so go meet her and let me have my peace"

She stood up and set to walk away but I grabbed her by the hand and hugged her but she pushed me away.

"You're the one I love, Ai"

"Feed that to the dogs" she said and walked away.

I went back to my room, took a cold bath and was heading to the dinning room when the same maid who woke me up came to me.

"Where are you going?"

"To the dinning room, of course"

"That dinning room is the Wú's family. The worker's dining is that way"

She pointed the way and I looked at it and grinned.

"Okay, lead the way."

I followed her to the dining room, it was bigger that the main one but not well furnished. I pulled out an empty chair, sat comfortably and waited for my meal.

Wú Ai's POV

I stormed into my room, the maids were busy cleaning and all eyes fell on me as I barged into the room.

"What are you all looking at? Continue your work"

"My lady, please calm down" a maid who was closer said

"It's fine. I'm sorry I had to react that way, everyone. Get the shower ready and also my clothes"

"Okay, my lady"

I took my bath and was dressing when a maid walked in to announce Míng's arrival.

"My Lady, Mr. Míng is outside the door, waiting."

"Okay, I'll be back soon" I said and went out of the room to meet him.

He leaned in to kiss me but I was fast enough to dodge it.

"What is it you want, Míng? And please, make it snappy"

"You know what I want, Ai. You're the one I want, I've always loved you" he said, holding my hands but I broke free from his grip.

"Is that all you've come here to say? If yes, please, take your leave now, I'm busy" I said and made to leave but he grabbed me by the wrist. I turned and looked at him, he let go immediately and handed me a box.

"I came to give that to you"

"And what is this?"

"It's a phone and there's a new sim in it, it has my number, you can call me anytime. I'll be in the dinner room." he said and left and I went back to my room.

I signalled at all the maid to leave but one of them, Xīn Yuè waited behind.

"What are you still doing here?"

"I'm sorry, my Lady. I just want to tell you that if you need anyone to talk to, I'll be here to listen"

I looked at her with a mixed reaction, pat the stool beside me, signalling her to sit.

"It's such an honor to sit with you, my Lady" she bowed in obeisance and sat down

"Are you sure I can trust you on this, Xīn Yuè?"

"Certainly, my Lady"

"You know the guy I came with last night, we're in love but suddenly, he changed towards me last night and it seems he chose Mei over me. I don't even know how to face her"

"Can I ask you some few questions, my Lady?"

"Sure, go ahead"

"Is the man from a poor background?"

"No! Well, I'm not sure but I don't think he is because when I meat him, his skin was soft and tender like that of a baby."

"Did you get into a fight before getting here?"

"Not at all"

"Did you do anything to upset him last night?"

"No, I didn't" I said instantly, then I remembered what happened at the dining.

"I think he got upset about Míng being close to me"

"Okay, my Lady. Here is my advice to you, if you love him, find out more about his background and try as much as possible to stay away from Míng or anything that would make him lose assurance of being with you"

"Wow! I feel so relieved and happy talking to you. Thank you so much but one more thing"

"What's that?"

"Last night, when I went to apologize to him, he didn't allow me in and he allowed Mei into his room"

"He probably did that to payback for what you did at the dinning but he failed to note that it wasn't your fault. You should apologize to him and explain the situation of things "

"Thanks a bunch. Let's go the dinning now"

Míng pulled out my seat for me and we were about to eat when Mei interrupted us.

"Father, why is Qianfan not here?"

"He belongs to the worker's dining room, he's Ai's worker, isn't he?"

"No, father. Qianfan is a good friend to me and he saved my life so many times, I wouldn't appreciate you treating him like a slave"

"Oh! Is that it? Forgive my mistake, dear. Xīn Yuè, go get him now"

She left and came back with him moments later. Our eyes met and he looked at Míng and I in disgust, I wished he could listen to my heart.

"I'm sorry, son for taking you as my daughter's worker. She said you happen to be her friend, please, fine with us"

"It's fine, sir. I'm okay where I am it gives me the opportunity to interact with more people"

"Okay, if that's your decision, you can go then"

Before I could utter a word, Mei stood up and went to him, grabbed him by his arm

"C'mon, stop being stubborn. You're just a friend to her" she said, emphasising more on just.

She was able to convince Qianfan but rather than sitting beside me, he sat beside Mei, facing me directly.

We had breakfast and everyone was happy expect for me, seeing the way Qianfan laughed at Mei as if they had known themselves for ages made me furious and each time, I try to make him laughed, he just frown at me, making me look like a fool.

"I'll leave first"

"What's wrong, Ai? Are you still tired from yesterday's trip?"

"No, father. I don't just have any appetite"

"What about I prepare you a meal called love?" Mei asked, mockingly.

"I'll take care of her" Míng said and my eyes turned red, making everyone's countenance changed.
