Ares, the God of Aura proxy, stood patch up by the dragon king wife lirien after the fierce battle with Tharros, the Dragon King God of Nature proxy. As he caught his breath, he said, "Tharros, I almost forgot. I received a message from Charles, the God of Techno proxy, that there will be a proxy meeting in a week's time."
Tharros raised an eyebrow, his scales still smoldering from the battle. "A proxy meeting? What for?"
Ares shrugged. "I'm not entirely sure, but I suspect it has something to do with the tensions between the gods. You know how they can be."
Tharros snorted. "Yes, I do. And it's unfortunate that their disagreements affect us proxies. I'm sure Lyra, the God of Magic proxy, and Layla, the God of Elemental proxy, would rather not be enemies just because their gods don't get along."
Ares nodded in agreement. "Indeed. I hate having to stop fighting in the middle of a battle, especially when it's going well. But I suppose it's necessary to maintain the balance."
Tharros grunted. "I suppose you're right, Ares. But I'm not looking forward to this meeting. Charles and his techno mumbo-jumbo...I don't know how he expects us to understand any of it."
Ares chuckled. "Well, Tharros, you never know. You might be surprised by what Charles has to say. And who knows, you might even learn something new."
With that, Ares turned to leave. "Well, Tharros, it's been fun. I'll be back for another battle later."
Tharros scowled. "Don't come back, Ares. I don't want to see your face again."
Ares laughed. "Oh, come now, Tharros. You know you're just saying that because you're always win doesn't mean you are invincible. I'll be back, and next time, it won't be just me losing I will win next time."
With a final wave, Ares disappeared into the distance, leaving Tharros to grumble and mutter to himself in his domain.
