The System Won't Work Unless I Have Girlfriends

“Yeah, no one could convince me, even in a hundred years, that I would date someone, not even if she were Kar*******.” [To start the system, please find a suitable partner you like] This floating screen has been popping up for years now! “No, I refuse. Tell whoever sent you to fuck off. I don’t need any external help to be great.” [...Are you sure a bout that?] Eh? This is the first time the system has responded like this. It reminds me of how I’ve struggled without relying on this so-called system. Should I really try it now? --- patreon.com/Livice

Chapter 27

As I walk out of the school building with my bag, on my way to the school gate, I suddenly see a girl with bobbed hair. When she notices me, she becomes excited and a little bit nervous as I approach her.

{Were you waiting for someone?} I sign to her, and she shakes her head.

{I'm waiting you, Makabe. If it's okay, can I ask you something?}

Seeing her sudden nervousness, I raise an eyebrow.

{Go ahead.}

Shoko nervously signs to me, slowly, {Let's be... friends...}

Ah, so she was waiting for me here for that.

{I thought we were already friends?}

Her eyes widen as she hides her face behind her communication book. However, I can already see her teary eyes. Sigh, I can't handle these emotional moments, but becoming friends isn't a crime.

{I'll walk you home.} I sign, and she shyly nods at me.

The next day, when the school is over.

"Makabe, I hope you understand why you're not supposed to talk back to me, your teacher."

In the faculty room, the jerk in front of me called me after school was over.

"Okay, are you finished?"

He sighs and suddenly, BANG! He slams his desk. "Did your parents not teach you anything about respecting your elders?! You need to understand that in this society, those who don't follow the norms won't survive. One of those norms is respecting your superiors. Apologize right now."

"I refuse."

"What?"

"I said, I refuse."

"What did you say?"

"Did I stutter? Or do you need an interpreter?"

After that, the school called my grandpa about this.

I was waiting inside his car with my laptop on my lap. Then someone knocked on the window beside me, and I lowered it.

"How did it go?" I asked.

Grandpa rested his arms against the car window with a sigh. "You got suspended for three days and have to write an apology letter as homework. Congratulations..."

"I see. Was the last part sarcasm?"

"No. Your teacher is an asshole, so I get it. Just do me a favor and don't get expelled in your first week."

"Pfft. I'll try."

In summary, I got suspended for three days after just three days of attending school.

(Third pov)

Takeuchi always woke up the next day with a sigh. He hated his life and his job. Somehow, fate had led him to become a teacher.

Because of this, he never did his job to the fullest. He did the bare minimum just to keep his position. However, recently, there had been some annoying transfer students. First, there was the girl with the hearing problem.

He knew she'd become a troublesome student because she was special. A special student required special treatment, and he didn't want to waste his energy because he was busy with other things.

The girl, named Nishimiya Shoko, had been attending school for a month, and he already knew some bullying was happening to her. However, he only did his job as a formality, so he only prevented the bullying as a formality until it escalated.

Another transfer student arrived from England. The brat was Japanese, and Takeuchi assumed the boy had an easy life since his family likely worked well overseas. He thought this boy was a typical spoiled brat.

And son, that brat, Makabe Masamune, dared to talk back to him. He even threatened him in class, saying that if this got to other parents, Takeuchi would be in trouble.

"Mr. Takeuchi, you'll be transferred to another school in Okinawa."

"I b-beg your pardon, sir?"

This morning, he had been called to the principal's office. He thought it was just a new task for him, but what had just happened?

"I don't need to repeat myself, Mr. Takeuchi. Pack your things; your transfer has been scheduled to fill a position immediately."

"Th-that's it, sir? Isn't this news too sudden? I should have received a warning first, but instead, I'm being transferred?"

"Of course, I had to. Have I reminded you that this school never tolerates any form of bullying? That's our motto. And you neglected your students by allowing the bullying because you're incompetent, Mr. Takeuchi. Yesterday, Nishimiya Shoko's mother came to me and reported that Shoko had lost her hearing aids three times since she transferred here. That also aligns with another report from a student, which confirms that you knew what was happening. You should be grateful that you didn't lose your job."

Hearing this, Takeuchi felt sweat running down his face. He accepted it because he had no proof to back him up. After packing his things, he walked out of the faculty room, and suddenly, the boy who was supposed to be suspended walked past him.

"Hm?" The boy noticed him.

"Makabe, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be home right now."

"Huh? I thought you knew that the school has withdrawn my punishment since it seems there was some misunderstanding. Don't tell me you're... I'm sorry. I wish you luck, Mr. Takeuchi," the boy said as he walked away, smile on his face.

Takeuchi Ao faced distorted as he saw Masamune smirking at him furthermore, the way him just walk away in relax manner.

"This little piece of shit!"

As Masamune walked calmly, he heard a grown man shouting, and the sound of footsteps gradually approached him. He quickly glanced back and saw Takeuchi swinging a slap aimed at his face.

Slap!

The slap landed on Masamune's face, making him a bit unsteady, but he quickly steadied himself. The commotion drew attention, and soon enough, teachers rushed over to break it up.

"You brat! Did you think I didn't notice that smirk, huh?! I'll teach you a lesson for underestimating adults!"

Seeing another slap coming his way, Masamune reacted.

"Ugh! You little bastard!"

Takeuchi dropped to his knees after Masamune delivered a direct ball-shaking kick between his legs. That's right, Masamune had literally kicked him where his manhood located.

Masamune sighed. "That's called self-defense, you fuck."

"WHAT—ugh! Let go of me!" Takeuchi struggled as his former colleagues restrained him.

"Students, are you alright?!" the teachers finally asked as they separated the two.

"Yes, I'm fine," Masamune replied. He suddenly felt a tug on his tracksuit and glanced to see Shoko looking up at him with a worried expression.

With a shaky hand, she signed, {Are you okay?}

Masamune just nodded. {Yeah, that was too weak to hurt me. Thanks for asking.}

Slap!

Hearing the sharp sound, Masamune turned to see a woman in a business suit slapping Takeuchi's face with a cold, emotionless expression.

"That's for my daughter. You're too incompetent. Just give up being a teacher after letting Shoko get bullied," the woman said icily.
