Awakened

One day Ezekiel a kid in his early 20s sat on a couch looking at his t.v that showed an interview of an awakned . Awakned were the people who gained special abilities like conjuring elements .

Or the ability to fight monsters with swords with a vast array of ability . Theses monsters came from a portals which no one knew much about .

As Ezekiel watched at the t.v . A blond man with sharp facial features and a small goatee beard in black suit sat on a chair elegantly . On the other side an interviewer that also wore a black suit but had red hair .

As he asked many questions towards the S class awakned Gerald hyms.

" So Mr Gerald can you please explain us about the nature of the dungeons ."

As Gerald nooded

" The dungeons house a variety of monsters ranging from weak goblins to all the way to strong S rank monsters that can easily destroy city's if let loose ."

" So we as awakened must keep on clearing dungeon to safeguard the city and people from the terror of such monsters."

Ezekiel kept watching the t.v as a voice of old lady came .soon he stood up and walked towards his house entrance.

Where an old lady stood asking if he would like to buy some exceptional looking runes .

As he stood there looking at the beautiful runes that were colored in many different colours .

Ezekiel thought about the beatiful runes that were made from various types of woods. As he wanted to buy something for his sister as she was starting her new year in school so he thought why not buy one .

" Oh a great choice this one will be just for $2000."

As he heard this number his spit a mouthfull of blood as he found that the old lady was far to cunning .

"That's to expensive I guess I will I have buy something else for my sister."

The old lady made a distasteful expression as she said

" if you don't have enough money you can buy this one that is only 20$."

As Ezekiel looked at a rune that looked dusty with a purple hue.

He gave her 10$

"I don't currently have more than that on me ."

The old woman spat on the floor and Said

" alright give me 10 $ "

As she went away and threw the rune towards Ezekiel without looking back .

He sighed as he caught the rune which had something inscribed onto it as he went back to his room as he resumed watching the interview .

" These awakned sure makes a lot of money if I could just get awakned and be like them I could solve all financial problems of my family."

As Ezekiel looked at the t.v. went onto his day as usual ate went to his part time job at mrducklords as he came home tired . As he fell onto his bed thinking about many things.

" I wonder how will tomorrow go."

Ezekiel woke up as he went on to make breakfast while cutting some vegetables he got his finger cut as blood flowed he went to wash the wound and sanitise it when suddenly a call came as he looked around where his phone was ringing .

He went to pick it up as a drop of blood fell onto the rune that was on the table and It started to glow intensely .

Soon after attending the phone of the co- worker that was his friend told him that today the store would be close due to a dungeon break happened near the store so it would be closed for two days.

As he kept his phone back Ezekiel looked towards the rune shocked that was shining brilliantly in a dark hue .

Suddenly a holographic notification came in front of him that had a purple color . It reminded him of games he used to play.

The notification read .

Soon another thing poped infront of him.

As Ezekiel read over his stat pannel that showed his stats and an his skill that was necromancy .

As he looked his stat pannel to be able to summon any thing he first needed to hunt an monster.

As Ezekiel had nothing to do he went to the Awakned association to get registered as a hunter . As he reached the building that looked like a Skyscraper and went inside . Where a receptionist with black hair greated him as he asked to be registered.

Soon his name was called and he entered a room where he saw a testing machine that looked like a sphere as he put his hand onto the sphere .

After few seconds he was asked to wait outside as in few minutes the black haired receptionist who gave him his hunter I.D that read Rank F .

Ezekiel took the card as he went to buy a weapon so he could kill a monster for conjuring an undead .

As he bought a sword from his savings .

As he thought of which dungeon he should raid as he checked the coordinates of the closest dungeon near his location.

he found that the dungeon was close to the store where he worked as it was nightime and no one was looking he entered into the dungeon portal.

Before coming he found that the size of a dungeon may tell about its ranking the portal was 4 metres that meant it was a low ranking dungeon.

As he entered he drew his sword

Soon enough a goblin appeared as he dashed towards him as he swung his sword not giving the goblin a chance to call for help.

The goblin saw the coming attack as he tried to Dodge quickly but the first swing barely missed cutting his neck as the goblin yelled.

" Keeech!?"

As he tried to attack with his claw .

Ezekiel jumped back . he kept his sword forward the goblin jumped forward . He was barely able to dodge the oncoming attack and he then thrusted his sword forward his eyes blazing with battle intent.

the sword peirced the goblins chest as soon the green blood gushed from his wound . the goblin fell on the ground yelling in pain Ezekiel stood up and swung his sword again to finish the goblin .

he looked at the goblin corpse he found two red crystals these crystals helped awakned to rise in strength as red cystals gave strength blue mana and green improved the defenses of the awakned.

Ezekiel took these crystals out of the goblin as he kept them in his backpack .

Ezekiel stood up as he was ready to summon his first undead .he raised his hand and said " conjure " soon his one mana was reduced to zero as he felt slight weakness due to mana depletion .

The goblin corpse was surrounded by a purple fog that covered the goblin corpse and soon an undead rose where the goblin was as a goblin skeleton that had purple fire dancing in his eyes as he looked towards Ezekiel in wonder .
