CHAPTER 16 : MAGIC ACADEMY OF MAGIC PLANTS

In one of the rooms in the hot air balloon, stood a female magician who had long black hair and she was currently staring intently at the forest where the students were doing the test. The woman wore a white robe and a badge on her robe that had the shape of a tree. Behind the woman, stood a male wizard who also wore a white robe but on his robes there was a tree-shaped badge as well which indicated that he and the female wizard in front of him were in the same magic academy.

The white-robed man was the mage guarding the door at the Myro's elemental compatibility test site earlier. The white robed man immediately said "Head of department, do you think the chief will come here?".

The woman only glanced at the white-robed man then looked back at the forest and said "The chief is coming. Especially when he knows such a talented student".

The white robed man said again unsure "But, do we have to take such a big risk just for a talented student? Because we could become enemies of all the other magic academies which is very risky".

The woman said "It's not you who makes the decision, but the head has already decided what we will do. Besides, you don't know, in just a day that kid became a first-rate apprentice wizard".

Then the woman smiled and said again "Moreover that kid just defeated a pack of wind wolves. When you were a first-rate apprentice wizard, were you able to defeat a pack of wind wolves?".

The white-robed man was immediately shocked at the information. The white robed man shook his head and said "I'm sure I can't do the same. Hah... that kid is really talented. I'm sure if that kid is given time to develop then the entire Continent of Fate will be defeated by him".

The woman immediately nodded and said "Yes, I'm sure of that as well as the head of the academy. Therefore the head of the academy decided that our Magical Plant Academy will recruit him and keep him safe during this test from other magic academies. You understand right?" .

The man immediately said "Yes, I see what you mean".

The white-robed man said again cautiously "Head of the department, I heard this hot air balloon belongs to the Dark Academy. It's possible that it contains our academy treasure which was stolen by the Dark Academy "Elf Wand"? How about I try to check it out".

The woman suddenly became gloomy and said "This is indeed the Dark Academy's hot air balloon. After all, there is no longer any *Elf Wand" here but it sure is. Hah... hundreds of years ago, our ancestor of the Magical Herbs Academy possessed a very formidable treasure of magic wands. But, we have to lose it due to a gamble by the ancestors at that time. The Dark Academy Ancestors used scheming to win the bet so our Magic Plants Academy had to place the bet on the "Elf Wand", if we don't live up to the bet then the Dark Academy and the neutral magic academy will pressure us for not doing what we say".

The white-robed man immediately said "Then, if there really is our "Elf Wand" here why not steal it? We can return the treasure that should belong to our Magical Herbs Academy".

The woman immediately shook her head and said "We can't, it's a trap. You know why I found out that the "Elf Wand" is in this hot air balloon? Because every year it's always like that. They always mock us that they have the treasure and show it. They did that on purpose so that we try to steal the wand. If we are caught stealing it then the Dark Academy has a reason to attack us and the Bright Light Academy will have no more reason to help us from attacking the Dark Academy. After all, the treasure room in the balloon This air is guarded by the deputy head of the Dark Academy, a 5th tier senior mage. We'd definitely get caught if we tried to steal it, since it's almost impossible to hide from a 5th tier senior mage".

Hearing that explanation, the white robed man sighed and said "It seems impossible for us to steal the "Elf Wand". Otherwise, our entire academy will be at risk of being destroyed. Our academy isn't as strong as the Dark Academy and the Bright Light Academy after all".

The woman simply said "There's no need to feel so sad like that. I believe, one day our academy will also be able to compete against the Dark Academy".

"Yeah, I'm sure too," said the white-robed man.

"Knock knock knock," suddenly there was a knock on the door that sounded urgent.

"Please," said the woman.

A female witch in a white robe with a tree-shaped badge came in and said urgently "Department head, I have some secret news".

"What news? Why are you so urgent. You must always calm down after all, you are my student," said the woman who was the head of the section.

"Yes", said the female mage disciple immediately saying "Dark Academy's hot air balloon treasure room has been stolen".

Hearing the female witch's words, the white robe male wizard immediately said in surprise "What? What did they lose?".

The female wizard immediately said again "According to our secret information and most likely true is the Dark Academy lost the forbidden magic book, the Elf Wand, and a number of rare treasures for the cultivation of dark magicians that are useful for increasing the strength of a dark magician".

"Is it even a forbidden magic book too?", said the female mage who was the head of the Magic Plant Academy.

Back in the Continent of Fate, the Dark Academy and the Holy Light Academy had an expert-level mage. But right now, there were no longer any expert-level magicians on the Continent of Fate.

Forbidden magic books are books that can be used to cast forbidden magic, then once used, the book will disappear. Forbidden magic books can only be made by an expert level mage. In making a forbidden magic book, an expert level magician must sacrifice his life to make a forbidden magic book. Therefore, only the Dark Academy and the Bright Light Academy had forbidden magic books. The Dark Academy and the Bright Light Academy only had a forbidden magic book each. So the forbidden magic book was an important treasure for them.

Forbidden magic is a very powerful magic. According to legend, once used it can wipe out an entire kingdom. Even the land that was hit by forbidden magic would become the land of the dead. Dead land can no longer be inhabited by living things. Therefore, forbidden magic was never used and only kept as a secret weapon in times of emergency.

On the Continent of Fate, only the Dark Academy and the Bright Light Academy had those forbidden magic books. But this time, the Dark Academy lost their forbidden magic book which was sure to cause panic. After all, there were no more expert-level mages anymore. And so, the Dark Academy didn't have any forbidden magic books anymore.

"Actually what happened? Shouldn't the forbidden magic book be highly guarded? How could it be stolen?", said the white-robed man in confusion.

"Right now, the Dark Academy is panicking. They even plan to check the entire room in this hot air balloon. They suspect that the one who stole it must be someone from the magic academy", said the female wizard student.

"Actually what happened", thought the witch who was the head of the section.
