CHAPTER 14: HUNTING

Hearing Myro's words, Shar was immediately shocked and said "Young master, why do you have to go hunting? It's too risky. What if you get hurt by a monster?".

Myro just shook his head and said "Shar, I already said that I have to become strong in this world. The best way to train is through actual combat. So I will fight those monsters as well to practice my ability to use fireball magic and minor healing that I just learned. Right now I can only use that magic, but against actual living beings I don't know if it will be effective or not".

Seeing Myro who was so adamant, Shar couldn't help but sigh and said "If young master really insists what can be done. But one thing is for sure, if the situation threatens young master's life. Then, I will act".

Myro nodded and said "Yes, but if the situation is really life threatening. If I'm just injured and the wound isn't life threatening then you don't act. Myro didn't take the sword right away, but gave Shar a quick glance. After that Myro said "If I use this sword then what weapon will you fight with?".

"I still have some daggers, so young masters don't need to worry. After all, assassins use daggers more often than swords. Because daggers are more flexible when used than swords so daggers are perfect for assassins who kill quickly," said Shar then took out and showed a dagger that he took out to Myro.

The wind wolf has a very fast speed but its defense is also very weak, the wind wolf's defense is the same as the defense of a normal wolf. Therefore, the wind wolf was categorized as a monster that had the strength of a first rank apprentice mage. However, some wind wolves have a wind elemental magic ability that is "Wind Blade".

The wind wolf that has the ability of wind blades can make the air become like a sharp sword and be thrown at his enemy. The difficulty against this ability is that the blades of wind are very difficult to see and move very quickly. So people who are not careful when fighting wind wolves will be killed by wind blade magic while they are unconscious. Therefore, Myro decided to be careful although not necessarily this wind wolf has the ability of wind blades.

Myro immediately held his sword tightly. Then began to concentrate mana in his body and expelled it to form a fireball. Myro immediately threw the fireball magic at the wind wolf who was eating the venison. The moment the fireball was thrown, the wind wolf seemed to immediately realize the impending danger and decided to run quickly. However, the wind wolf was a step late and one of its legs was hit by a fireball blast.

The fireball beside Myro was immediately thrown in the direction Myro was pointing. Coinciding with the rapidly flying fireball, a wolf shadow ran out of the bushes quickly also trying to avoid Myro's fireball. However, the wind wolf was not as lucky as before. The fireball exploded in the wind wolf's stomach. The wind wolf was immediately thrown several meters back due to the explosion of the fireball.

After falling as a result of the explosion, the wind wolf lay motionless. At this moment, the place where the wolf fell was covered with blood. Seeing that the fireball he used had finally brought down the wind wolf, Myro heaved a sigh of relief.

After waiting for a while, Myro saw that the wind wolf continued to lie down and didn't move anymore. Therefore, Myro moved towards the corpse of the wind wolf to take its flesh and maybe in this wolf there was a monster core. Some monsters have a monster core where the monsters store their magic. Monster cores are useful for making magic wands or used like magic crystals to be absorbed in order to increase the power of the magician who absorbs them.

Myro was in front of the wolf and pointed his sword at the wind wolf. Myro wanted to slash the corpse of the wind wolf to make sure that the wind wolf was really dead. Suddenly, Myro felt a sense of crisis. The lying wind wolf immediately turned around very quickly and opened its mouth to pounce on Myro. Myro immediately stopped the wolf's mouth with his sword. But it wasn't over yet, Myro felt a chill down his back so he decided to dodge to the side. Myro did manage to dodge so he was still alive, but the blade of wind that suddenly appeared behind him just now managed to injure Myro. At this moment, Myro spat out a mouthful of blood and felt a pain in his back. It turned out that the wind wolf that Myro was fighting had the ability of a wind blade and made Myro get a pretty big cut on his back.

Myro looked at the wolf in front of him who was standing with difficulty from being injured by Myro's fireball. Myro also immediately stood up and readied his fireball magic to attack as well. Myro thought that he couldn't lose just against this wind wolf. Therefore Myro immediately stood up even though the pain in his back did not stop, Myro continued to endure it.

A voice sounded in Myro's ears. Myro's face immediately became very gloomy and Myro immediately said "It looks like this fight will be very difficult".
