BAB 22 : TASK FOR CHARACTER CALLING

Immediately after enrolling into the Magical Plants Academy, Myro was given a white cloak with a tree-shaped badge on it and Myro was also given 10 magic crystals which was the current month's fee given by the academy.

Then, Myro was told that he could go around the hot air balloon. Because new registrations will close at night and they will leave for the Plant Academy tomorrow. Therefore, Myro had some free time until tomorrow's departure.

Thus, Myro exited the Plant Academy room and walked back to his room in the hot air balloon. On the way, he saw a door that was very busy being entered by new students like those who had been accepted into the magic academy. Myro knew they had been accepted into the magic academy was because those people were already wearing wizard robes with various insignia.

Myro was quite confused, because the door the students entered was supposed to be the door of a magic academy. Then why would students from various magic academies enter magic academies again?

Myro walked over and he could see that above the door had a gold coin emblem. Seeing Myro who was confused, a male student immediately said "Behind this door is a trade guild. You can buy all the needs of magicians in the merchant guild".

Myro looked at the person next to him. The man had short black hair and sharp black eyes. The man looked very young which was probably the same as Myro who was a new student at the magic academy. The man wore a white robe and a tree badge on his robes.

The man immediately smiled and extended his hand to Myro while saying "My name is Vine, Vine Conti. It seems that from now on we will meet often and help each other because we joined the same magic academy".

Myro shook the Vine's hand and also smiled and said "Myro Aras you can call me Myro. Of course we will help each other at the Magic Plant Academy".

Suddenly a voice that was quite loud and filled with anger was heard "Vine! I told you to wait for me to register for the magic academy first right. After that we will go to the trading place. But you left me and went first".

Immediately, Vine became sweaty and said with a slightly pushy smile towards the woman who called out to him "Sorry Brigitte, but if we don't hurry then maybe we'll lose some good stuff at the trading place right".

Without replying to Vine's words, the woman immediately pulled Vine's ear while saying angrily "You can wait for me after all I don't need much time to register for the academy".

"Ou..... Ou..... Stop Brigitte you're pulling too hard. Ears might fall out", said Vine with a face filled with pain but Brigitte didn't let go of her hand at all instead Brigitte pulled harder.

"Fine, fine Briggite I was wrong. I won't do it again so remove my ears. Look, we have new friends here", immediately Vine tried to change the conversation so that Brigitte wouldn't be angry anymore and pulled her ear.

Brigitte immediately became aware of Myro's presence and removed her hand that was tugging at Vine's ear. Vine immediately rubbed his ears which were currently red while filled with a pained expression.

Brigitte looked at Myro, then she said with a smile "Sorry for the late introduction. I'm Brigitte, Briggite Hern Krust, I'm a childhood friend of Vine".

Myro also smiled politely and said "I'm Myro, Myro Aras, I just met Vine here".

Brigitte was a woman who had the appearance of a 10 year old child. So Brigitte must be the same age as herself and Vine. Briggite wears a white robe with a tree badge indicating that she also joined the Magic Plant Academy. Brigitte has long black hair and wears a slightly extravagant outfit like Vine. So Myro could guess that Vine and Brigitte were likely from noble families.

"Myro don't be fooled by her appearance. Brigitte is a crazy woman. She is very rude and often attracts other people's ears, so you have to be careful with her", said Vine whispering to Myro so that Brigitte wouldn't hear.

"Oh..... Vine, you thought I couldn't hear you. Looks like the punishment just wasn't enough", said Brigitte with a bright smile and looked at Vine.

Seeing that, Vine immediately felt goosebumps and embraced Myro and pulled him towards the trading place to try to run away from Brigitte while saying "Myro, you said you wanted to go to the trading place right. I happen to be going there too so it's better if we go together".

"I never said that," said Myro.

"Hahahahaha..... Don't be so shy Myro. We're friends so you don't have to feel shy", said Vine then continued to drag Myro to the trading place without paying any heed to Myro's words.

"Vine don't think you can run!", said Brigitte angrily and pulled Vine's ear again.

"Ou..... stop... stop, fine I won't leave you. Stop tugging at my ears, we must hurry to the trading place to buy useful items", said Vine again with a face filled with pain.

"You'll see if you dare to act again", said Brigitte then removed Vine's ear then smiled at Myro "Sorry Myro, you have to face Vine's stupidity".

"No problem", Myro said with a friendly smile but in his heart he said "I don't think this Vine and Briggite are just childhood friends. Otherwise why does Briggite care so much about Vine that they even have to join the same magic academy".

Immediately Briggite started walking and said to Vine and Myro "Let's go".

Brigitte started walking and entered the door of the merchant guild. Vine smiled and said to Myro "You don't care too much about Briggite's character. Even though she's quite rude Briggite is actually quite a good person. Then let's go in too".

Vine immediately walked over and followed Brigitte into the merchant guild room. Myro shook his head, at first he wasn't that interested in going to the merchant guild. However, because of Vine and Brigitte's invitation it would be rude to refuse. Myro walked into the room as well.

Immediately the scene in front of Myro changed. Thousands of people made a commotion in the place. Many mages wearing their magic robes were shouting their wares. Right now, Myro could hear a lot of noise from the magicians selling their merchandise trying to promote their wares and the magicians bidding to buy goods. Immediately a mechanical sound was heard.

"The host has fulfilled the requirements to become a tier 3 apprentice wizard this morning so the host can already do character summons again".

"A task is given to the host. Because the host will summon a character, it requires a lot of energy. Therefore, the host must collect a million low-level magic crystals. The more the host character, the more expensive the next character summon will be".

"Task: Collect a million low-level magic crystals to convert as character summoning energy. Reminder: magic crystals used for character summons cannot be used again and will disappear".

Hearing the system voice in his head, Myro was initially excited to be able to summon characters again. After all, Myro has the gold crystal that he got earlier when fighting the snake which is useful for summoning characters. But for the next explanation Myro became surprised and smiled bitterly while saying in his heart "How can I get a million magic crystals? Having a thousand magic crystals is very difficult it seems I can only delay the summoning of characters first".

As for Myro who managed to become a tier 3 apprentice mage. After Myro finished absorbing the previous intermediate tier magic crystals. Myro managed to collect 100 mana balls in his body so that he was already qualified to become a tier 3 mage. To become the next tier 4 mage, Myro needed 500 mana balls which was still very far away.

"Myro why are you smiling to yourself?", said Vine looking at Myro in horror because he thought Myro was like a madman.

Myro immediately came to his senses and said "Nothing, I just remembered a funny thing".

Vine looked at Myro strangely and said "Okay stop being weird and let's have a look at the items being sold here. There might be something useful".

After that Vine walked with Briggite and they talked to each other about the goods being sold around. Seeing Vine and Brigitte being so close, Myro just smiled and spoke in a small voice "You guys are really like a couple".

Myro didn't expect that his small voice was heard by Vine and Brigitte. They turned and looked at Myro in surprise. Right now Brigitte's face was as red as an apple, while Vine's face was also slightly red. Seeing that Myro said with a cute smile "Why are you so shy. Even a fool would understand that you two are a couple by seeing how well matched you are".

Stop talking nonsense", said Brigitte frantically then pulled Vine's ear again saying "How can me and this idiot get along".

"Ou..... Why are you pulling my ear? Myro who said that wasn't me. What are you talking about Myro anyway, we don't match at all. How could I be attracted to a rude woman like this. Ou..... Why you're pulling my ear harder," said Vine with a face that was very painful.

"You..... Vine you idiot!", after that Brigitte removed Vine's ear and left angrily.

Vine held his aching ear while looking at Brigitte who was leaving while saying confusedly "Why is he so angry? What did I do?".

Myro approached Vine and patted him on the shoulder then said "Vine, you insensitive man".

Then Myro also walked over with a sigh and looked at Vine with pity. Vine was dumbfounded and immediately ran after Myro and shouted "Wait Myro, isn't this a mistake from what you said earlier? Why are you blaming me? Hey..... Wait Myro you have to give me an explanation".
