Chapter Twelve - I Formed A Party (Prt 1)

"Please take a seat."

The guild master made a slight jester showing us to the four chairs in the center of his office.

I flinched as I sat and felt a chilling cold from the metal legs of the chair. It was a slight chill that shook my nerves and disappeared momentarily.

I was hit was the nostalgic memory of the cold office chairs after I returned from lunch to the cold of the Air Conditioner.

My eyes wondered about the office as I sat there waiting for the opportune moment to speak, I wanted to get permission on my end and leave immediately after.

'Sheena's waiting after all'

His office haven't changed much since the last time, his desk stood before a massive window with fancy glass panes.

The golden lines on the window refracted the light entering the room and casted a golden hue on the floor, desk and roof.

His table was covered with papers and quill and ink along with a stamp.

There were two shelves on either sides of the desk both stacked full with books that had their spines facing outwards and showed they're caring colors and titles.

I squinted my eyes trying to make out the writing on a few of his books but the style of writing created patterns which along with the light from the outside made it quite difficult.

His office had the scent of paper, ink and candle wax, which gave it an even more medieval feel, I could almost taste the ancient air.

"So sir uhm-

I was cut off by the guild master who raised his hand the signal my silence and he skipped through the papers on his desk.

I looked over at the girl by the name Ellen, I took a properly look at her this time not to get distracted by her collar.

I froze after finally getting a proper look at her, she had silky smooth hair that was styled into a ponytail, the smoky black glisten in the refracted lighting which emphasized her crimson red highlights.

Her hair coloration was so beautiful it was almost as if she wore extensions, but that's not a thing in this world so I was sure it was her original hair color. I was mesmerized by her hair as she sat there adjusted her collar that's wasn't fixed properly.

'What would I give to smell her hair, getting my fingers knotted in as I gently stroke her head'

-I might need to confess but as a man I have quite a particular taste, while am attracted to the female body just like any other man my main point of attraction is hair.

I have a thing for beautiful hair.

… 'bonk'

"Eh 'Em… while I do admit that her face is that of a beauty and her skins as fair and milky as they come if you keep staring at her like that you might just devour her."

I held my head that was just hit was some rolled up paper by the guild master.

I felt a little embarrassment creep up after the guild master just brazenly spoke of me eyeing Ellen.

I was now afraid to look at her, but from a glimpse I could see she was also a bit flustered.

"okay, so I know why you're here because I predicted such, but I never expected you to be here so early….uhhhhhhh"

The guild master slumped into a chair as he spoke in a shaking voice as he stretched.

"So here's the deal, form a party with Ellen here, she'll act as your guardian and also as my informant. She'll be there to make sure you don't run off and also those with the monster loyalty status are rare, almost all of them gets killed before maturity so they are an unknown entity All together so think of yourself as my research."

The guild master just payed out a mouthful of speech that took me a while to process even those nothing he said was too complex.

I simply sat back unable to speak, Ellen was in a similar situation as me except her facial expression was filled with curiosity.

Her knitted eyebrows almost made me lose focus, she was quite cute.

I nodded in response to the guild masters glare after his speech it seems he was bothered by my silence so he gave me quite the glare which sent shivered down my spine.

"Good now sign here…." The guild master pulled out two sheets of paper from the small stack in his hand, the paper still had a curvature from being rolled up earlier.

"Excuse me!"Ellen's voice broke the guild mastered explanation leaving him silent yet shocked.

"Am sorry to interrupt but I something to say…uh- I mean ask… you see it's- I know this is an important mission you're giving me guild master and I have no reason to reject or anything, but uhmmmm…it's about my sister-"

Ellen froze for a second as if unsure about how to phrase what she had to say.

"Rochelle! she's an A rank adventurer and also my party member. Can I let her join this party as well…?"

"Sure why not. As long as you're doing your job you're free to do whatever you want…" the guild master looked at Ellen with a soft expression it was one that exuded trust and hope.

"Let's get this done then."
