" Am here to meet the guild master."
"Am sorry sir but meeting the guild master isn't such an easy task, do you have an appointment or?" The lady over the counter tilted her head while looking at me with a look of curiosity and confusion.
"An appointment, no not really, I met with him two weeks ago and I have something to discuss regarding that prior meeting." The last time wasn't that hard, the guild master came to me before I even signed up for the guild.
He used his appraisal skills and saw that I had the loyalty status and called out to me. Everything happened after.
"Uhm am sorry but if you don't have an appointment am afraid meeting the guild master will be a bit.... Mm let's see can I see you guild card?"
I dipped into my pants pocket and pulled out my guild card, or rather the temporary one the guild master gave me. It was a leather brown colored piece of metal about the size of a mobile phone, it displayed my name age and level with a small seal to the bottom left of the card.
The receptionist took my card and looked at from back to front while tilting her head a little allowing her black short bob hair to flow freely from her shoulders where they rested, and again with yet another look of confused curiosity she looked at me then back at the card.
"Uhm, I'm sorry but I've never seen a card like this with a guild seal are you sure you got it here?"
"Yes am sure it got it from the guild master himself."
"Hey kid!" A feminine voice filled with annoyance entered my ears and before I could turn around I found myself staring at the ceiling, there was a firm grip on my right shoulder and my feet could no longer feel the ground beneath them.
I looked to my right and saw some rugged hand that showed excessive training and hard work yet the fingers were still tender and feminine they weren't as bulky as those of a man's.
I twisted my body mid air and grabbed onto the hand that hoisted me using it as a base for my center of gravity. I then brought my feet straight into the air and pivoted and landed on my feet.
The entire guild hall went silent, I looked back at at who stood behind me and saw a tall lady about 6' 3". She had a single sword strapped to her side with a leather strap, the sword silver hilt with a small guard and a slender blade. A rapier came to mind as I saw it, with hands rugged from training I was confused at how her hands got like that while training to use a rapier.
It was obvious that a rapier wasn't her main weapon but it was the only weapon on her person at the moment. Besides her weapon she wore a short red and grey, pattern skirt that was half way between her knees and her hips as it rested on her thighs. Her shirt was a white buttoned shirt with short sleeves and a half folded collar that she seemed to not notice.
Did she show up here without any one telling her that her collar needed to be fixed or is that a fashion trend. I was confused by her collar and forgot about her actions earlier as my thoughts blocked out that commotion that was taking place in the guild.
I wasn't a neat freak or whatever but her semi fixed collar bothered me.
"Uhm, Miss Ellen... Uhmmm." The receptionist spoke breaking me from my trance and caused the lady before me to turn and face her.
"Hmm" she spoke dumbfounded by the receptionist addressing her.
"Uhm please no fighting in the guild building, even if you are an S-rank adventurer the rules still apply you know." The Receptionist had a nervous expression on her face but it was obvious she didn't want this Ellen lady to react negatively to her interjection.
"Uh-Ah... no no no, you seemed bothered so I tried to help you out I didn't expect this kid to be this light so he was swooped up from slight shoulder tap." Ellen raised her hands and reacted panicked while speaking.
"Slight shoulder tap!" I shoulder as I was brought back to my senses and recollected the even that took place prior. "I fracking flew back there what the hell."
She quickly bowed before me which caused her white hat just I just now noticed to fall from her head and her tall black hair to flutter before falling over her head and hang towards the ground. "Am sorry about earlier I just mean to grab you and tell you to stop pestering Ana."
"I also apologize for that Ellen can be a bit of a dork some time and she even lash out at the slightest of things but I can assure you she always has good intentions." Ana the receptionist also apologized.
"It's o-
"What's the commotion!?" The guild masters stern voice echoed in the hall and every ones gaze lifted above Ana as the guild master descended the stairwell that stood behind her desk.
Ana was about to explain the situation when the guild master completed his descent but he rose his arm to prevent her from speaking then he smiled upon seeing me and Ellen.
"Ah, you're both here just right on time. Now if you may please follow me to my office I'd like to do speak to you both privately about the matter at hand."
