The Beast That Lies Within

Barrett, now standing on top of the snake, begins to slice at the snakes neck only for the snake to jolt upwards, knocking Barrett off, "I'll leave the rest to you.." Asune said before passing out, the last thing he sees before closing his eyes is Barrett lunging at the snake. Asune wakes up in a jolt to realize he is still in the forest, with loud sounds coming from the distance, Boom! Crash! "What's going on, how long was i out for?" [Warning!] [Warning!] Asune directs his attention to the system, "What's going on?" [Subjugation Side effect failed. Cutting all stats in half.] "Shit!" "No no no no!"

Asune watches as his stats gets cut in half. "My hard work.." Asune said somberly.

"Wait, it never said if i failed to defeat it, it would disappear." Asune thought. Asune hears the sounds of clashing and begins to grow curious. He got up and began to follow the sounds, the sounds get louder and louder as Asune approaches the source of the explosions, Barrett and the snake are continuously fighting, clashing and slashing at each others neck, Barrett jumps back, and glares at Asune, before going back to fighting, Asune thinks,

"This is my perfect opportunity to see how he fights.."

Barrett throws himself at the snake slicing at the snakes neck, the snake dodges and lunges at him attempting to bite him, He uses his technique, {Flowing Cloud} and counters the snakes bite, launching the snake on it's back and Barrett to the ground. Barrett gets up and prepares himself once more, "I should end this soon. Before the snake releases that gas again." Barrett thought. Bringing his sword back, the snake gets up and shakes his head seemingly dazed, Then begins to circle Barrett, in an attempt to make a dust cloud to hide itself, dust begins to fill the small area, "A smoke screen, Hm?" Barrett thought,

"Such tricks won't work on me!" He shouted absorbing the dust cloud with his sword, revealing the location of the snake.

Barrett brings his sword back far behind him and as he slashes forward he instantly moves behind the snake. relaxing his muscles, he calls this move {Flowing Mist}. The snake begins to fall apart, the head sliding from the body and the body being slice into pieces in a delayed fashion. "Wha.." Asune stumbles over his words, shocked at what he just seen.

"What the hell was that?!" He shouts in utter confusion.

Asune comes from the bushes, "How did you do that?" Asune asked Barrett, "Stand back." Barrett said coldly, "Huh?" "Just because it's head is cut off doesn't mean its dead." He stated. The snakes head begins to twitch, then move on it's own, looking possessed. It's moves are sporadic and uncoordinated. It twitches and jumps randomly, before releasing a poisonous gas. "Shit." Barrett said, "Let's go before we get caught in the smoke!" Barrett shouted. Both Barrett and Asune begin to run, through the forest, "So.. Barrett." Asune called out while they were running, "Yeah?" Barrett answered, "Where did you learn to fight like that?" Asune asked. "I told you i'll tell you about it later." Barrett said, "Well curiosity is getting the better of me." Asune claimed. "I'll tell you later. Please be patient!" He said. Asune let out a sigh and they continued their journey back to the school. 

Asune and Barrett arrive back at school and go their separate ways, Asune went back to his dorm and Barrett went back into the school because he still has something he needed to do.

"How did he know that form?" Asune thought, "I've never seen a mortal do that before." He added. "How is a 14 year old child able to use that technique." "The technique of the skies." "Dreaded Clouds." "I have to know how he did that." Asune enters his room once again and jumps on his bed, "Ah, the comfort of my own bed." "How i've missed you!" Asune said flipping over to his stomach, "This is super comfy.. It's almost like.. " Asune drifts off to sleep, unknowingly. 

2 DAYS LATER.

Asune wakes up in a jolt, "Ah!" "..i fell asleep?" Asune thought, "Hm, i must've been tired.. How long did i sleep for?" Asune checks the systems date, "2 DAYS?!" Asune jumps out of bed and panicking and struggling to put on his uniform, "How could i have slept for that long?!" "Today is the day of the trip!" "ARGH, Stupid fatigue!" Asune puts on his pants, socks, shoes and dashes out of the door. Running to class and bursting through the stone door, which causes all the attention to direct to him. "Ah, Asune" Trent calls out. "I'm glad you made it. Take a seat, i was just explaining the details of the trip." Trent said. "Take a seat." Asune walks to the back of the classroom. "Hi friend!" Barrett said excitedly. "Hey, Barrett.. " Asune said, winded.

"Alright class we will be staying there for 2 months, considering that this field trip is for you to get a taste of the real world." Trent claimed,

"sometimes i will not be there to guide you," he added, "i will give you the basic necessities to live a normal life there. This is a learning experience, so please be aware that any action you do will have re-actions." Trent stated. "Finally.." Asune thought, "I get to leave this suffocating kingdom." He thought, "Although i could have done that a long time ago." He added. "Now as for partners, I will state them now, First the ones who did the best in my eyes." "Asune Jackson. Barrett Ashton, Venen Grahm" "As expected" Asune claimed. "And Yushin Ilsho" "Wait huh? Who is that?" Asune thought looking around the classroom. seemingly a spotlight shines on a kid, "What's going on.." Asune thought.

"Tis I! I am the best. Better than the rest!" The boy in the spot light shouts.

"What is he yapping about..?" Asune thought, getting second hand embarrassment. The boy stands up to reveal a boy with long yellow hair, with a star hairpin. "I am Yushin Ilsho! The most talented, most handsome, and most elegant one of them all!" Yushin states. 

"Oh boy.. This is going to be a pain.." Asune thought.
