School life (11) - Monster

"What did he mean by that?" Asune thought as everyone in the classroom began to leave.

"So friend, what are we doing today?" Barrett asked. Asune looked at the penalty timer [00:12:20], "We're going to train today." "YAY!" Barrett cheered. "But!" Asune added, "You must promise me that you will fight with all you have." He said. "I promise!" Barrett shouted, putting his fist to his chest. "sigh lets go." Asune said now walking away, slouching. 

They reach the forest and Barrett asks, "Why did you go so far last time?" "Because what i fought was dangerous." Asune said. "And i couldn't let anybody see me fighting that thing." He thought. "Oh! Okay." Barrett replied. A few minutes later, Barrett asked, "Soo.. Where is this monster." "It should be here in about.. 2 minutes." Asune responded,

"How do you know exactly when it's gonna come?" "Just a suspicion." "Have you ever been wrong?" "No." "Have you ever lost-?" "No." "Well if that's the case, h-" Asune cuts Barrett off putting his finger up to quiet the talking Barrett, "Shh!"

Asune puts his ear to the ground and hears a tremble in the ground, he looks up and sees the pebbles on the ground shake, "It's here." "Get ready." He said in a serious tone.

Ester gets up from the forest ground and prepares himself, "What is it?" Barrett asked. The rumbling getting louder and louder, "I don't know.." Asune said, swallowing his spit. 

Suddenly the rumbling stops, birds begin to fly away in the distance.

Eerie red eyes come from the bush, and then a white bunny hops out dashing past Asune an Barrett seemingly in fear, then again, another bunny more, and more bunnies come out of the bush running away in fear, until no more come out. hiss.. hiss... the snake's red eyes peer at Asune through the bush, and suddenly lunges at him, attempting to swallow him, "Shoot-" Asune dodges the snakes bite by a hair, and says, " Ugh, I hate snakes..." "Oh- Barrett, I'll tell you when to help, for now, get somewhere safe." "Okay!" Barrett said excitedly. 

"Now it's just me and you.." Asune said to the snake. 

The snake once again lunges at Asune, Asune dodges and uses {Beserk1} and {Fists of Gnathrack2}. Grabbing the snake by the tail and swings it around, slamming it against trees before launching it in the air, the snake flies high before crashing down back to the ground, boom! The impact rang throughout the forest, birds fly away, in the distance. The snake lies on the ground, "It's not dead, i didn't get the message." The snake arises, seemingly dazed, Asune attacks the snake, taking the opportunity, The snake bends backwards, dodging Asunes attack. Asune is shocked by the dazed snakes reaction time suddenly gets grabbed and thrown to the ground.

His HP begins going down [1300/2100]

"That did 800 damage?" Asune thought, panicking from the amount of damage he just took. He quickly recovers and flips backwards to face the snake, "He's different from the minotaur. I'm stronger so that means he's way stronger than the minotaur. his snake body allows him to do things the bull or any human can't. i have to be extra careful." The snake raises his head, "Another lunge!" The snake spurs out poisonous gas blocking Asunes vision, "What is this?!" Asune thought, covering his mouth. "The minotaur couldn't use things like this!" Asune begins to cough his HP Steadily going down [1000/2100], "Shit. I have to get out of the smoke" Asune gets hit in the back, his HP going down once again,

[800/2100]

"He's using the smoke as cover." Asune swing s at the gas attempting to clear it, to no avail. Asune gets hit in the back once more swiping at the snake in an attempt to hit it, but fails. Asune begins to stumble and stagger, his vision getting blurry and his eyes getting heavy, "crap, i need to get out of this smoke." "That's it!" Asune summons all of his strength in his right fist as he raises it, and smashes the ground, shattering it and clearing the smoke, "if i can't do it directly, ill do it indirectly, by using the wind from the impact i can clear out the smoke." "Alright, Now it's time to get serious." The snake begins to charge at Asune in a rage, "he's faster now!" Asune thought, dodging the snakes attack, the snake follows up with a tail swipe, and Asune takes it full on, being launched into a tree, his HP going down [200/2100]

"Shit.. i don't have much time left." Asune looks at the time left for beserk,

"i have to end this, now!." Asune gets up from the tree stumbling, Once again, the snake begins to lunge at him, Asune takes the hit, holding the snakes mouth open as he is dragged throughout the forest, Asune stomps his foot causing the snakes head to come to a sudden halt, flipping its body over Asune, it's body begins to land onto Asune, As it falls closer and closer to him, he charges up and punch and punches the snake in the back, the snake flips over, knocked out from the last blow. Asune walks up to the snake, reaching its tail saying,

"Finally.. Now to finish you o-" Asunes words are halted as the side effect for beserk begins to kick in and Asune falls to the ground. "Well, i guess this is fine. Considering that thing is knocked out." Asune thought, but surprisingly the snake gets back up, the snake see's Asune on the ground and the snake grabs Asune, an begins to squeeze him. "Ah shoot, I messed up.." "Is this the end?" Asune thought as his HP went down [150/2100] "Wait, why did i think of this before.." Asune thought before shouting,

"Barrett!" His shout rang out loud, Barrett who is sitting on a tree nearby, jumps out of the tree and crashes down on the snake, the snake releases Asune from it's grasps and Asune falls to the ground. 

"I'll take it from here. Friend." Barrett said, calmly, summoning his saber.
