Reunion Of Mother And Son

They stand in the street hugging and crying, "Even though it's only been, a few days, it feels like a life time before i've seen her." Asune thought, as he cried on his mothers shirt. "I've missed you.. So.. so much, my son." Natalia said. "I've missed you too mom! So, so much!" Asune said. "Thank you for coming back..", "Silly mom, I'll always come back..!" Asune said, cheerfully. "Ah! you must be hungry from your way back." She said remembering her cooking, "Lets go in, there's food on the table." She said, grabbing his hand and walking into the home. 

Asune sniffs the air, "mmm~ smells like mom's original cooking." "Of course, you know i don't steal recipes!" They both chuckle and begin to eat, Asunes eyes light up, "mmm~! i mwssed twis!" Asune said, his mouth full of food, "Don't talk with your mouth full, but i'm glad you like it!" She said, smiling. the room falls silent and Asune continues to chow down on the food in front of him, "So.. How is school my dear?" "School is great, i made a few new friends, and i learned some stuff as well." "That's nice..! .." She said. 

He sets slowly down his fork and his facial expression now grows lifeless, "Mom has he been hitting you?" Asune asked sternly.

"W-what? No.. Why would y-" She is cut off before she can finish her sentence, "Don't lie to me." He said, Her facial expression lights up for a second, and then falls back into somberness, "There's nothing we can do.." She said, looking down at the table somberly, as it begins to thunder and rain outside, breaking the silence in the room. "Tell me, Why haven't you left him yet?" "I.." She said, "He threatened to kill me if i left." Asune looks down at the table, clenching his fist so hard his hands begins to bleed. "What exactly, is dad?" Asune asked. "He is an ex sacred knight, The direct knight under the king, always with him, so he is well versed in combat." She said. "You want to leave him right?" Asune asked, "I do!" She said, "Of course i do" She added, "But it's like where would i go?" She begins to look desperate, "I have nowhere else, i have no money." Asune opens his inventory under the table and grab a moderate sized sack of gold coins, and places it on the table. "Where did you get that?" She asked, "Now that you have money, Will you leave?" Asune asked once again. "He'll find me... I.. I can't leave-" "Then." Asune got up quickly pushing his chair out fast, making it topple over.

"If he was gone, would you leave?" Asune, leaning on the table looks up at her with rage and determination in his eyes.

"I.." Natalia stumbles over her words, She puts her head down and becomes less tense.. Contemplating her next words, because they could very well change her life for better or worse, "Yes.." She said. Asune stands upright fully, and asks, "Where is he?" "The bar down the street." Asune walks out of the house into the pouring rain, Doom.. Thunder in the sky, lighting up his rage filled face in the darkness. Asune enters the dark and sees his dad drunk, sitting at the corner of an empty bar, he walks over to him, and grabs his arm. "Eh?" A drunk Jason said, "Asu?" He look at him and said slowly before being dragged out side.

Asune drags his father, into the street and drops a sword in front of him. "Pick it up." Asune said, coldly. Jason soon sobers up and realizes what's going on, "Why?" He asked, "Because i told you to.." Asune answered. Jason gets up and picks up the sword, "Kid, i don't want to kill you." Jason said, "i know you're doing this for your mother." He added. "if you know then WHY CONTINUE?" Asune asked loudly, his last two words echoing through out the streets, doom.. doom.. the thunder in the air gets stronger. "Kid, you're young, you wouldn't understand.." Jason said. 

"Oh i understand.. I understand very well." Asune said, now equipping his long sword.

"K-kid, we don't have to do this." Jason said, "You fight, or you die." Asune Said, now slowly walking towards Jason, "Listen, i don't wanna kill my son." Jason said, trembling. "You kill me, or i kill you, What's so hard to understand?" He said coldly. "Kid, please.." Jason pleaded, "Asune." Jason calls out his name and Asune stops walking, "Asune, my son. Don't do this." "Tell me this. Why? Why did you do it?" "I.. I don't know... I can't give you an answer.. I'm so sorry.. Please forgive me." Jason said while crying, his tears being visible even in the heavy rain. Asune throws a small sack of gold coins on the ground, "Go." "Go and never come back here." Asune said coldly turning around to walk away,

"If i ever see your face here again, I will not hesitate to kill you." Asune said, now turning around to look back at Jason with a red glare in his eyes, the thunder illumination his rage filled expression.

Jason falls down to his knees, and begins to cry, he grabs the coins and he walks the other direction. Asune walks home in the rain, thinking about what he could have done, "Was it really a good idea to let him leave like that?" He thought, "I just couldn't bring myself to kill him, so it was my only option." "I just hope this doesn't come back to bite me." He thought, now stopping and looking up in the rain. He enters his home to see his mom still sitting at the table, she looks up at him an her expression lights up, "What happened? What did you do?" She frantically asked,

"He will never hurt you again." Asune reassuringly said.

Natalia breaks down in tears, tears of joy because of the thought that she has been freed from the chains of a demon.
