Chapter 12: Situationship

_Zaria's Pov_

I stared at both Benjamin and Kate for what felt like forever.

Then my body jolted me back into the presence.

“But she ain't interested in you!” I snarled but covered my mouth in surprise at myself.

“I know,” was all Benjamin could say, his voice calmer than when he was at his brother’s not so long ago.

Maybe he did love Kate. If that was the case, it was really messed up. I Looked at Kate who was gulping down some ice cream. She did this anytime she found herself in an uncomfortable situation.

“Maybe I need to try harder then,” Benjamin continued. “I mean it was an arranged relationship between both families.”

He let out his frustration while he proceeded to unbutton his shirt.

‘What is wrong with San Francisco?’ I thought to myself. This was so strange. I could not even imagine the number of families.

“Kate, are you not going to say anything?” came the stern voice of Benjamin.
