Chapter 8 Couldn't Hold Back

Ambrose stood up before Elaina finished speaking, looking like he was about to leave.

"What are you doing, Ambrose? It's my birthday today, and you're leaving without eating anything?" Mrs. Barron frowned.

"I have something to do," Ambrose said in a deep voice.

With just that one sentence, he left in a hurry without even grabbing his coat. Elaina sighed and looked at the suit jacket, her heart beating faster. "Mrs. Barron, I...I'll go give him his coat."

As soon as Ambrose arrived, everyone was looking at him.

"Mr. Barron...Mr. Barron, you're finally here. Can you believe Bonnie had the nerve to treat me this way!" Mr. Greer had lost the arrogance he had earlier and was making a hash of things in the private room.

Bonnie found him annoying and rolled her eyes helplessly.

"Bonnie," Ambrose called her name indifferently, and he looked at her coldly. "Why isn't your boyfriend here to help out?"
