Cultivation

The next morning Sej woke up abruptly. The orb of light sensing his movement, left the lamp and went to the centre of the rooms ceiling while shining ever brighter giving Sej a clear look at the room he was in. After recollecting where he was, Sej looked outside the ship and saw the endless nothingness of space with shining stars before refocusing. A note was left under the door with the rules of the ship, Sej saw the paper note and walked over. The note did not say much. It only stated that the 1 floor was restricted along with the deck of the ship. The second floor had a communal area as well as a canteen and small training area. Finally, the third, fourth and fifth floor, where the residential area. It was worth noting that the ship seemed to have a constant fresh supply of air, created and contained by formations on the ship. It also had spiritual energy in the air making it seem fresher.

After a quick breakfast alongside Sam, Henry and Cara, Sej returned to his room to learn more about the world he has just entered. Approaching the bookshelf, Sej looked at the names of the books. The first book was called 'Cultivation realm basic guide' followed by 'The brief history Ashfall sect'. Next was a manual called 'Basic Body refinement technique'. The final book was a detailed copy of the first stage of cultivation called Starting your cultivation journey- Body refining.

Sej took all the books excluding the history book as it was not important to him right now. Looking through the fist book he found the cultivation realms listed and some brief descriptions. The cultivation realms were as followed

Stage 1- Body refinement

Stage 2- Essence gathering

Stage 3- essence purifying

Stage 4- altar building

Stage 5- soul connection

Stage 6- soul refining

Stage 7- law seed realm

Stage 8- soul core realm

Stage 9- law seed fusion

Stage 10- world construction

Stage 11- world expansion

Stage 12- universe realm

The book stated at the end that cultivation is a journey to be supreme and one should never stop in the path, even if there is no direction, make one yourself. Very inspiring words.

Sej was growing more excited and started to understand some of the viewpoints that the copper robed man and Lily were making. The first part of his cultivation would be slower due to poorer talent absorbing essence energy, but he would have an advantage when cultivating shifts his focus to the soul. Sej quickly moved on to the book about the body refinement realm.

The body refinement realm could be broken down into the following categories

Skin, Muscles, Tendons, Bones, Marrow, Meridians. One must refine the body to increase its strength, agility, defence, and endurance before one can start to gather essence energy or else the body could easily be destroyed. Refining the skin provides a boost in defence and allows spiritual energy to start to seep into the body. Muscles can provide more explosive power. Tendon will provide more flexibility and agility, while lowering the strain on the body. Bones must be refined as the skeleton could collapse after the explosive increase of strength of your muscles. The marrow must be refined to provide stronger blood which will gently increase the strength of the internal organs and provide more oxygen to the muscles increasing endurance. Finally comes the Meridians which must be strengthened to allow essence energy to travel around the body and to the Dantian. This will allow the body to grow stronger naturally as your cultivation increases as well as allow free range of movement of essence in the body. Each realm is vitally important to the future of cultivation. Finally, it was time for Sej's first cultivation session.
