ALONE

I am sure I won't be going to the toilet at all. Sky gave me the medicine and made me drink a whole lot of water that I'm sure I need to pass out later on tonight. When Sky left the room I was feeling drowsy and pressed but I tried to ignore the latter feeling and just let myself fall asleep. I didn't know when I fell asleep but I found myself waking up and the door was wide open. There is no Sr Drevin like Sky had said and the whole building is darker than how it had been when I fell asleep. My bladder has reached its capacity so I don't have much of a choice. I got down from the bed and I was immediately greeted by the coldness of the floor. A shiver run down my spine as I felt the temperature drop.

I am back to saying the Lord's Prayer and I'm trying to get to the bathroom as soon as possible. The door leading out of the clinic was open and the only thing I could see is the Assignment center and a silhouette of a woman with a child beside her. I looked away quickly and bolted to the bathroom and made sure to shut the door behind me. I quickly pulled up my dress but before I could relieve myself I heard the door creek open. I gulped down the fear that had built up in my throat and looked behind. I dropped my dress because of the building had suddenly changed into some abandoned warehouse filled with white clothed mannequins.

I closed my eyes hoping to be back in the clinic but when I opened them again I was still in the warehouse.

"Our father, who art in heaven...."

I wasn't the one who was praying. My heart stopped beating normally at the chilling sound of the prayer. I'm not willing to check who it is so I'm just going to start running. There were a lot of passageways and very few doors available.

"Hail Mary....."

This time the voice was familiar; Jen. Not that it is comforting but at least I'll get a scare from a ghost I was familiar with. I looked around me to see where she was and I saw her sitting in a room that had a red door. The room was dark and I only saw her because of the light in the corridor. She stopped saying her prayer and she looked at me and I noted that she had blood shot eyes like she had been crying for a very long time.

"Do you know where we are?" she asked me in a clear voice.

I didn't have the strength to respond and I was trying to hold in my pee and honestly being pressed is making me less afraid. I continued to stare at her from a distance but soon she got up to walk closer to me while I kept moving backwards.

"Do....you...know...whe..re..we....are?" she repeated in an eerie voice.

I felt a cold, chilling gust of wind blowing past me going to where Jen was. Somehow her skin started tearing off of her body to expose her bones. I screamed and turned to start running; to where? I don't know but I just want to be away from her. I continued screaming and turning through the passageways without knowing where I would end up and I'm glad I did. I found the exit and luckily the door was wide open. I run even faster, gasping for air and turning around to see if I was being followed. No one behind me. I looked to the door but found Jen's skeleton standing there. It's just bones though right. I'll just run into them and they'll fall apart and I was right yet again.

Jen fell apart even before I could crush into her. I closed my eyes in relief that I was out of that place but been in a forested area isn't comforting either.

"Ol....ive....." a boy's voice called me in an awfully loud whisper.

"Keep walking." I said to myself.

I continued walking towards the only building I could see but can't label. I started running when I felt someone breathing down my neck.

"Help! Help me please!" I shouted as I heard several pairs of feet thumping on the ground right behind me.

l screamed until I realized that the building I was running toward wasn't getting any closer. I stopped running and heard the feet behind me stop as well. I started walking slowly and heard the shuffling of feet behind me which was enough for me to know that whatever was after me before was following me again.

"Deep breathes Vee....take deep..... breathes..." I heard Elise instruct me.

I turned around on impulse only to have my face covered with a bloody palm. I opened my eyes and was back in the bathroom in the clinic with my dress pulled up while I was facing the wide open door that let me have a view of the Assignment center. The woman with the child was still there but there was no child. Also I don't feel pressed anymore so I must have peed while experiencing all that in my head. I dropped my skirt and run back to the door of my room but I didn't get there because I hadn't flushed. I turned back to go back to the bathroom but there stood the silhouette of a child, probably the one who had been with the woman, standing by the toilet. The child, male or female I can't tell, flushed the toilet and then raised it's left hand as if waving at me.

Right now I can't even tell if it's looking at me or the wall but I do know that I am going back to the room and I won't sleep. Or maybe I can take that green stuff that sky gave me.....I turned back again and run to the room, ignoring the woman's silhouette that was now standing by the door leading out of the clinic's building. I threw my self onto the bed, making sure to bury my face in the pillow and then I covered myself; partially. My lower body is exposed and my dress flew up. This is frustrating! I don't mind been discovered like this but the fear of feeling a hand on my exposed flesh doesn't sit right with me.

I used my right leg to pick up the lower part of the blanket and drag it over myself. At last! Completely covered and eyes shielded from the sight of whatever ghostly entities are watching me! I'll just stay like this till sunrise and then I'll leave this place! I can make it unless the need for oxygen exceeds my capacity to keep breathing exhaled air.

I can't do it anymore! I turned my head to the side and gasped for the clean air that invaded my nostrils. Jen is standing right at the corner with something that looks like an axe! If I looked away I fear she might drive that thing right through me. So we sort of have a staring competition going on now and I can't afford to blink too often otherwise I might die. The windows in the room all opened and the chilling evening air rushed in. She's trying to break me but I won't let her have that satisfaction. Dawn was quick to come, much to my relief. I slowly got up from the bed but I didn't get down while keeping my eyes on Jen, who I have noted didn't blink once since coming to stand there.

"Ms Rogers?" Sr Drevin's voice made me turn my head.

She was dressed in a white night gown with a fleece blanket over her shoulder and I noted she was also barefoot and she looked worried and annoyed. I looked at the corner and noticed how Jen was still standing there staring at me. I lifted my hand to point at the corner and Sr Drevin walked into the room further to see what I was pointing at.

"There's nothing there Ms Rogers." she said in an annoyed tone.

"You're looking too low Sr. Look straight at the corner." I told her because she was looking down like she was hoping to see a rat or a dropped item.

She lifted my head and to me I saw how Jen locked eyes with Sr Drevin while the latter looked confused. Sr Drevin turned back to look at me with a frown on her face because she had not seen the ghost who now smiled at me.

"Is this a joke Ms Rogers?" she asked walking to the corner a settling there and wiggling a little to show me that there was nothing there.

For a second their faces merged and I moved back only to fall from the small bed. My dress covered my face as I had landed with my head down.

"Ouch!"

I did a baby flip and sat on my legs while my dress fell back down naturally. I looked at Sr Drevin raised her brows at me with a look of disgust apparent on her face.

"Where were you last night?" she asked walking towards the bed.

"I was here!" I said quickly before the images of me teleporting to a warehouse flushed in my eyes and I corrected myself,"I think I was."
