Mia, Busan, S.Korea

I got up and found the world swinging...I was lying over a hammock, in my woods.

I was still inside my suit, warmer, but I felt no objection thwarting my heart for being inside it. Maybe, the premonitions of my brain overpowered the feeble feeling of my frail heart. Or maybe, it was my heart's decision to stay. In anyway, my body was staying, too weak for a rebellion. I hated to admit that I'm weak but I was, then... weak soul, weak body.....

All the time, I was staring at the leaves of the oak, tangled in the cobwebs and wriggling like a fish caught in a line, wriggling its life out.

"Mia, are you awake? ", I didn't notice my mom, sitting close beside.

Her cold words fell over my ear like snow. Her inhumane voice broke the silence of the woods.

My mom was the only family I ever knew about. She was my friend, my ally, my enemy and also, one of the handful of people I have seen.

She jeopardized everything for her pyrokinesis practices. Song Rita, a well known, famous Pyrokinesist who juggled with fire. She was the best among all the Pyrokinesists across the world. But she became an addict. This addiction of fire divested her of everything she cared to love more then herself....and divested me from the sensation of touch....

Dad had to pay, he paid his life for saving mom from the aggressive practice of fire......but he saved her. She practiced aggressively when she was pregnant with me and it resulted in a diseased baby, that was me.....

But I didn't hate her for anything. I knew that she was the one who died every second under the deadly jaws of guilt, of memories because she lost more than I did.

But sometimes, these lame reasons for being steady, couldn't fodder my questioning soul that broke me inside out and bore her teeth in my lungs, making my heart screem piercingly.

"Mia, Mia..... did you sleep again?"

Mom sliced through my frantic hallucinations.

" Are you comfortable now?" she asked, sounding dreadfully cold. The warm sunlight didn't penetrate her words.

" If so, then...."

"No, I need time....." I said, not letting her complete her sentence. I turned the other side, avoiding her reproaching eyes to meet mine, and ask, "What on the earth, makes you do such a silly thing?"

" Fine then, I must leave. Uncle Kwan is arriving by tomorrow morning and I need to prepare" she kissed the suit above my forehead and left.

A groan that I stifled, escaped from my throat.......
