Azare 2

Azare walked around aimlessly. He entered the lounge, the room was a relaxing haven, furnished with comfy, deep leather couches and large floor cushions. It smelt so good, it was as if all the flowers and spices in the world had been blended and tossed it in the air. The marble floor was as smooth as silk and as shiny as satin. He could sense his father's presence in the doorway. At a snail's pace, he turned around to see his father.

"Azare, I would like you to meet someone," His father hesitated.

"You can come out, Dear"

She had shiny black hair that fell in a sheet down her back and fanned across her shoulders. She was a petite woman with a thin, perfectly straight nose. Her icy blue eyes burned with a kind light. Lines surrounded her eyes and mouth, burnt by the sun and wind during the hours spent outside with the animals. Her hair swung rhythmically from side to side as she walked towards him. She stuck out her hand.

" Hi, Azare, I'm Melanie," she whispered. The words floated out of her mouth as a soft, feathery whisper.

He was silent and stony-faced. With his chin jutting out, he paced backwards and forwards across the room, deep in thought. Eventually, he stopped and stared eye-to-eye at Melanie

"Sorry, it's nice to meet you. I didn't know Dad was with ANOTHER woman," Azare said, forcing a smile in anger he did clearly not try to hide.

"I apologise, cupcake, can I just borrow Azare for a quick minute?" Azare's father strained his voice with a menacing tone. He grabbed Azare's arm, and his sharp fingernails dug into his flesh. Azare lazily dragged his feet upstairs.

His father had transformed into a spitting bundle of rage. Waving his arms wildly in the air, he shrieked at Azare and advanced, with bulging eyes in his rage-twisted face.

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU, DO YOU NOT WANT ME TO EXPERIENCE JOY? YOUR MOTHER WOULD'VE WANTED THAT!"

He stared at his father with blank eyes

" Don't bring Mom into this. IT'S NOT BEEN LONG SINCE SHE-!" He finished his sentence with waterfalls streaming down his face. Her welcoming face was etched in his memory, the smile she always greeted him with, her infectious laugh. Features that made people adore her with all their hearts seemed to fade away into the recesses of his mind. It was replaced with the crimson red handprints in the white blanket of snow, her honey-kissed exuberant eyes losing their life, her last breaths. A big hand resting on his shoulder snaps him back into reality.

His father's voice trailed off into a low sigh and he squeezed Azare's arm in a gesture of support. Azare pushed his arm away and shook his head in disappointment.

"You never cared about her, you're the reason she died," he muttered.

Hey thanks for reading! I hope you have a good day and you enjoyed bye!
