Ryu Ji-Ho remembered reading an interview about CEOs of massive corporations, those who barely slept five hours a night. They worked endlessly, slicing their time into razor-thin slivers, down to the minute, with efficiency that most people couldn't fathom.
"People are so quick to criticize the leaders of big companies, but they never stop to think about the immense effort they put in," he mused.
Not a single one of those leaders got to where they were by being lazy or slacking off. Ryu Ji-Ho wasn't claiming they always took the moral high road, but their dedication was something no one could ignore.
"For those of us who have nothing, what's stopping us from doing the same?" he said with conviction, his voice charged with determination.
"True, but couldn't we do that after we graduate high school?" Hwang Jae-jung interjected sharply.
