Chapter Six : The Fateful Day That Changes Lives.

{Sup. Author's Note : The thoughts and the convertaions inside the mind will be written in italics. Bye}

The Fateful Day, the day of the class gaining ceremony was here and the whole world was filled with exictement and joy. All the people that wished to try their luck had gathered at the Temple Of Shani.

The Temple Of Shani was the biggest building on the planet. More than a billion people could easily fit here but that was due to the powers of space and time manipulation. It was due to these powers that the ceremony did not take a lot of time.

There were also many other temples built all over the world that could be used but this was the most prominent one. Built at the centre of the earth. The energy was taken from the core that could keep it running. Most people came here as a way to show their respect.

The Pandian household was also brimming with excitement, all of them had dressed in the traditional outfits that were required for this ceremony, a light pink shirt and white pyjamas for the men and a pink saree for women. They all had a hearthy breakfast and started their journey to the temple.

The journey went smoothly, and when Om arrived he was fasinated, there were a lot of stalls everywhere, it looked like there was a fair going on. Everyone was cheerful and happy. There was a huge crowd and everyone was wearing traditional dresses.

The day was always celebrated with a great zeal. It defined the future of their newer generations. This was the reason why it was celebrated like a huge festival that lasted for many days.

The most fascinating thing was the temple where ceremony the ceremony took place. It was a gigantic structure made of sandstone. A lot of pillers were supporting the temple's structure and all the pillars were held by the scluptures of different gods and goddesses.

The scluptures of the Tridev, the first three suprems gods could be seen hovering over the temple and it looked that they were overlooking the ceremony.

The temple gave a holy presence and one could see the brilliance, it shone when light fell over it.

The symbol of Om was also built at the centre. This signified the 4th supmeme god as well as the beginning of a new journey.

"Om, are you excited?" Asked Maina "I am sure you are, after all maybe you will get a class. Do not worry at all. Ok?"

"Yes mom" Om wanted to talk a lot but he was nervous. He was not sure if he would get a class because this was not one of those light novels where he was the main character who was sure to get a class.

Om went to register himself and got a chit. He got to know that he was the last person for today, the ceremony goes for five days and he was the last person for the first day. The registrations were closed and Om and his family just went to different stalls to enjoy themselves before his turn came.

Om also found two of his friends who were trying to gain a class this year, the names Lalu and Majnu. Lalu and Majnu were sibilings.

"Sup my man, I was not expecting to see you here what made you change your mind?" Majnu asked. He was the extrovert one of the two. Majnu was the most intrusive friend of the three.

"Sup, some changes, I finally made up my mind to come here, so how are you all?" Om replied dabbing him up.

As Majnu was about to reply a voice boomed and everyone became silent, the voice was of none other than the Justice God Shani.

"Greetings Everyone! I hope that you are having a wonderful time. As you know that we have all gathered today to see the young generations of our world shouldring their responsibilities. May the gods favour you and may you gain abilities that suit you. The ceremony will begin shortly so you are required to be attentive. I hope that many children gain their classes and help humanity. May the Holy Land Shine Brightly!!"

"May the Holy Land Shine Brightly!" Everyone said. This was a common thing to say as it was related to wishing someone goodluck and wellbeing. The ceremony started and the numbers were started to call out. Many people gained some classes and many had no luck.

The happy thing was that Majnu and Lalu both got a class. Majnu got the class Builder and Lalu got the class Wizard. Om congratulated them and they went to celeberate.

Om's number was the last so he went with his family and started to stuff himself with all the tasty snacks and food. After a long time it was finally Om's turn. Thank the gods that the space and time powers were working or it would have a eternity to get his turn.

Om's number was called out, Om then proceeded to touch his parents feet and gain their blessings.

"Good luck Om, and do not worry you will get a class." Both of them said, Om just smiled and went inside the temple.

There were a lot of different pictures and scluptures of different gods. There was also a lot of different seats that looked empty but on a closer look one could see some sort of shadows. The hall was well lighted with chandeliers and had a big red carpet with golden engravings.

On the end of the carpet sat Shani. In front of him was a stand that contained a orb. The orb was very mysterious. It was jet black in colour with many dots on it. It flashed with different colours randomly and it looked as if it contained the whole universe in it

The Justice God had a plesent face like that of the most loving grandfather. He had a few wrinkles on his face. His hair was white but well groomed, he also wore the traditional dress. He also had a white beard and looked so harmless and weak.

He looked old but his aura was not something to joke about, he had a holy presence and he held a spear like weapon in one hand. His eyes had a shine and were sharp. Behind him was the sclupture of the Tridev just like it was above the temple.

There was also a black crow sitting on his shoulder. The crow was very weird as it looked quite different. It wore a gold necklace and had sunglasses? His wings also had a tinge of gold on the edges.

"Hello young one!" His voice boomed "You are the last one to claim a class right?" His voice boomed but it was also calming and plesant. Om nodded in agreement.

"Very well child, let us see it you are worthy of gaining a class." He then pointed to the orb infront of him and said " You have to walk this red carpet and come here to touh the orb, and you will get a class easy right?"

Om found it pretty suspicious. How the hell were people failing a test that easy. How were they not gaining a class. He realised that there must be something different about the red carpet. There was nothing he could do than to walk, so he took his first step.

As soon as he took the first step, the golden encravings lit up with a tige of purple. Om suddenly felt a suffocating feeling. It was like it was harder for him to breathe and move. He stopped for a moment but then started to walk once again.

As Om walked nearer and nearer to the orb the feeling intensified, he was now halfwar there but it looked do far. Om took the next step but then suddenly the colour of the engravings changed to red and he felt as if the gravity has increased. He fell down on his knees.

"Child did you really think it would be easy?" Shani spoke.

The carpet was actually a magical artifact created by the gods. It analysed a person's strength and willpower and adjusted its strength. It then forced one to push itself to his or her limits. This was a test of determination.

Om did not say anything, even though he was feeling pain but will was burning stronger and stronger. He gritted his teeth and stood up once again. He started to walk but it was getting painful for him. He could see the white orb brimming with power he wanted to touch it but when he reached 5 meters away from it the colour changed once again and this time to black.

Om was smashed to the ground and he coughed up blood, he could hear some ringing in his head.

"Child do not be foolish, if you think you won't be able to do it do not hurt yourself, it is a great thing that you have reached this far . Return next year."

But Om could not hear him, he felt like someone familier was speaking to him.

"om....get....up, Om.....Om...."

He focused on the voice and then he could clearly hear the familiar voice, the voice of Shanti

"Om can you hear me?" The same voice rang

"Oh my god, I must have hit my head really hard, to hear Shanti's voice. How can she be here" Om thought

"I am here Om, I will explain later get up you can do it"

The voice of Shanti motivated him, he was totally confused but he mustered up his strength and started to walk on all fours, it was a struggle but it was effective. He was making really slow progress but it was progress nonetheless.

The walking on fours had turned to laying on the ground and pushing himself forward. After half an hour of struggle under Shanti's motivations he finally reached the orb and placed his hand over it.

The carpet was deactivated and Om was so exhausted that he layed down on the carpet.

It was then that the justice god Shani spoke.

"Well done young one." He then placed his hand on the orb and said

"I summon the council of the Dead and my Friends, who are the dead fellow Gods. You have wittnessed this performance. Tell Oh! Tell which class should he get"

There was suddenly a rumbling, the barely visible shadows that sat on the seats rushed towards the orb and surrended it, there was a spark of red coming out from it and then a sound followed

"He has a strong will and the capability to always fulfill his vows,

His enemies with die and shiver, wherever he goes."

The black fog then passed through Om. Om could feel his body changing and a mysterious evergy surged through him. Unknown to him a drop of blood also penetrated his body and was absorbed by him.

"What are all these messages?" Om mumbled he felt fresh but weak at the same time.

"Om welcome to the world of classes where you get a chance to become stronger by evolving yourself, these messages are normal and will change according to the user's understanding. I wish you a great future you may go now." Shani said this and teleported him out.

He went back to his seat and bowed down to the sclupture of the Tridev.

"Oh! Lord Shiva you are here today are you not the colour of the carpet changing to the colour of destruction(Black) can only mean one thing that you were testing him right? And one drop of blood originating from your head to absorb for him cannot be a coincidence right? Please answer me."

"I never knew you would pay that much heed to it." A soothing and peaceful voice originated, it felt like a waterfall falling or different flowers blooming at the same time. "Yes, I was testing that kid and game him my blessing, who may know if he will fing that a blessing or a curse."

"Why were you testing him my lord, and why are you saying that, is the blessing a curse." Shani asked bowing down to the scluptures.

"Well not exactly Shani, you see after a long era has someone from the Pandian family has become a warrior and he may be the solution to our problems. The question to the blessing I gave him the blessing that I last gave to my loyal follower and you know what had happened."

"You don't mean Ra-" Shani spoke in a shcked tone but before he could complete the name he was stopped.

"All in good time, let's see how it goes. It looks like he has quite a interesting destiny. Let us see what happens Luck is a fickle mistress after all....."
